IISER will conduct the IISER 2025 for 9 courses in predetermined IISER 2025 shift timings. The IISER 2025 Exam morning shift will start at 9 am and end at 12 pm. The exam will be three hours. By now candidates must have their IISER 2025 Preparation at peak. IAT 2025: Important Instructions to be Followed on Exam Day
The following are the important instructions that the test takers must keep in mind before entering the examination hall.
- Candidates must carry their Hall Ticket on an A4 size paper using a laser printer. Hall Ticket is valid only if the candidate’s photograph and signature images are legibly printed. Paste the photograph at the indicated place. The Hall Ticket is to be produced for verification at the time of the test. This Hall ticket is valid only for the test date and session time as specified.
- The Hall Ticket is to be produced for verification at the time of the test and at least one original (not scanned) valid (not expired) photo identification card (such as Voter ID, Passport, Pan Card, Driving License, Photo pasted Nationalized Bank Passbook, UID Aadhar card, Photo pasted 10th/12th Marksheet/Certificate/Admit Card should also be presented. The candidate’s photograph and signature should be legibly printed and visible on the photo ID card and should match the name on the Hall Ticket. The Photo ID card should not be damaged or smudged.
- Make sure to print, fill up and carry the Self-Declaration form which will be present along with the Hall Ticket.
- Candidates are advised to locate their test centre and its accessibility at least a day before the test so that they can reach the centre on time on the day of the test.
- Candidates should report at 7:00 AM for the session. No candidate will be allowed inside the test centre after 8:30 AM. PwD candidates will get priority entry into the test centre.
- Do Not wear any jewellery or other items containing metal. Mobile phones or any other electronic gadgets such as Smart watches, calculators are NOT ALLOWED inside the test centre. There is no facility for safekeeping of candidates’ personal belongings outside the test hall and we are not responsible for its loss.
- Only Hall Ticket, Original Photo ID Card, Transparent Water Bottle & Ball pen will be allowed inside the test hall.
- Rough pad/sheet(s) will be provided to the candidates for rough work, which will have to be returned after the test. Candidates should clearly write their name and application number on the rough pad. An online non-programmable scientific calculator will be provided on the candidate’s console. Please do not carry your own calculator.
Things to be Carried at the IISER 2025 Exam Centre
You must carry the following documents and items to the exam centre:
- A coloured or laser printout of the IISER 2025 admit card in A4 size paper.
- A valid photo identity card issued by the Government of India such as PAN Card, Voter ID Card, Aadhaar Card, Passport, Driving License, etc.
- Pen and pencil.
- Transparent water bottle.
- Pocket-sized hand sanitiser.
- Face mask which has to be worn by the candidate throughout the time spent at the exam centre.
Things Prohibited at the IISER 2025 Exam Centre
The following items are barred from carrying to the IISER exam centre:
- Books, copies or papers of any kind.
- Mobile phones, calculators, watches or any other electronic or digital devices.
- Bags or wallets.
The exam authorities have also mentioned that there would not be any place to keep candidates’ personal belongings, hence you should ideally not carry any personal belongings, except the permitted items inside the exam hall.
What if There is a Discrepancy in IISER 2025 Admit Card?
In case of any discrepancy in the particulars of the candidate or his/her photograph and signature shown on the IISER 2025 admit card, candidates should immediately approach the IISER Help Line between 10.00 A.M. and 5.00 P.M. The exam officials mention, "In such a case, the candidate would appear in the examination with the already downloaded Admit Card. However, exam officials will take necessary action to make corrections in the record later."
Hence, candidates need not worry about the possibility of not getting allowed inside the IISER 2025 exam centre. However, they must follow up with the IISER officials before the commencement of the admissions process.

With a 7,000 rank in the SC category, admission to any IISER (including newer campuses) is not possible as per 2025 cutoffs. Cutoff ranks for SC category in IISERs generally close between 125 (most competitive) and 750 (least competitive).
