BSc Mathematics is a 3 to 4-year undergraduate course that includes a detailed study of mathematical skills and solutions in Algebra, Real Analysis, Probability, Calculus, Integration, Differential Equations, etc. BSc Mathematics Subject requires a Class 12 pass with a minimum percentage as required by the college.

While most admissions in the BSc Mathematics curriculum are merit-based, some of the popular colleges also ask for entrance exam scores. Some common BSc Mathematics entrance exams are CUET UG, IISER, SAT India, BITSAT, NEST, JMI Entrance, etc.

How many semesters are there in B.Sc. Mathematics?

There are a total of 6 to 8 semesters in the BSc Mathematics course, which is covered in a course duration of 3 -4 years. The course duration and semesters vary from one college to another. Each semester is divided into discipline-specific core courses, discipline-specific elective courses, general elective courses, and skill enhancement courses.

Students can either take the BSc Mathematics course as an honors course or Mathematics subjects as a part of Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences. Students have the convenience of choosing from elective courses and skill enhancement courses.
