Review of IIT Roorkee - Indian Institute of Technology.

Placements: No companies in our field visit our campus to hire students until now. However, we can opt for placements in some companies of other fields like data science, where all students can participate. In the previous batch, only five students out of 30 students got placed with an average package of 9 LPA. There is a common placement cell for all students.

Infrastructure: All hostels, department buildings, library, etc., are well-furnished, well-equipped and modernized. The campus is equipped with Wi-Fi and high- speed Ethernet connections. Labs and classrooms were decent and equipped with central air-conditioners, projectors etc. Hostel rooms are fine. I am not facing any issues regarding the infrastructure of the college.

Faculty: The institute provided students with well-experienced, knowledgeable and post-doctoral faculty members. Faculty have a decent teaching standard. Each teacher has their own way of teaching. There was no industry exposure due to the course curriculum, and syllabus needs to be updated.

IIT Roorkee is the best IIT in India.

Placements: Placement in our college is not so good. In the previous year out of the batch of 30 students, only four got placed in 4 different companies. The average salary package offered was 9 to 10 LPA. But it varies year wise. Most of the students aim for pursuing a PhD degree after M.Sc. But in the case of B.Tech and M.Tech, the chance of getting placed in a company is relatively high.

Infrastructure: The whole campus is well-equipped with Wi-Fi network. We have a central library as well as the departmental library, and the central library remains open 24/7. Inside the campus there are 11 hostels among which 3 for girls and 8 for boys. Also, there are two guest houses for the stay of any outsider.

Faculty: All the faculty members take classes regularly, and their way of teaching is excellent. Students of any level can catch it easily. The syllabus depends on modern scientific approaches, and it's application in today's life. Sometimes they also teach us current research papers. Also gives valuable advice regarding our future career.
