The course is not up to the mark as expected from an IIT.

Placements: To be honest, students do not get many internships, but placements were okay. Most of the tech companies are open for this branch. The college also offers good research opportunities. Professors are decent. More than 50% of students got placed, and the others went for higher studies.

Infrastructure: IIT Roorkee hostels are decent enough, and they provide good Wi-Fi facilities. For the chemistry department, good labs are available. Faculty members are not that great. Sports facilities are really good. If you want to go into sports, this college is a great choice.

Faculty: Exams are the same as other engineering colleges. There are mid-term and end-term exams, and 75% attendance is the required criteria. The course is not tough, and you will not feel much pressure for academics and have plenty of time to do other things.

Other: Cultural activities in all IITs are very good.

Other: IIT Roorkee was like my second home. I did my MSc there. Two years passed just like that. I had some good friends there. The teachers were nice and the facilities were also nice. The library was one of the greatest libraries I have seen. Although Roorkee was a small city, still the IIT campus was full of enjoyment. We had an annual fest called Thomso.
