Best campus life and great placements.

Placements: The placements process here at IIT Roorkee is well-organized, and the placement cell reaches students themselves. The highest package size was 40 LPA and the lowest package size was 13 LPA in 2023. Top recruiting companies are Deloitte, TATA Power, Jindal Corporation Ltd, etc.

Infrastructure: IIT Roorkee is situated in a huge area that includes stadium, library, playgrounds, sitting areas, canteens, etc. All facilities are available for students like Wi-Fi, water purifiers, and computer labs. Hostel food quality is average but hostel rooms are quite spacious.

Faculty: Teachers here at IIT Roorkee are top-level engineers from all over India. Their teaching style is relatable to students and their teaching quality is good as well. Course curriculum is somewhat relevant but research projects and internships are essential for industrial learning experience.

IIT Roorkee - a beautiful place that comes with a lot of pressure .

Placements: Placements are beyond excellent for B.Tech students, but I think it would be better if you taught. Companies come for Masters students too; only coaching institutes are there who approach Masters students. But the name itself is sufficient to land a good internship opportunity. You can also do research work under professors from all over the world with the help of connections. The placement cell is also very active. Students opt for Ph.D. government exams and placement. Placement cell helps a few students who want to get a job; otherwise, students go on their own ventures mostly.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is brilliant in terms of everything. The classrooms are high-teaching, and the lecture hall are air-conditioned with smartboards and excellent furniture. The hostels are also getting updated and the new hostels that have been built are apartments like with private balcony. Every hostel has a day and night canteen, laundry room, gym room, stationery, etc. It has one of the most beautiful campus I have ever come across.

Faculty: Some faculty members of my course are good at teaching, but some are not creating an atmosphere where a student's interest can be increased on the topic further. Apart from that, the curriculum is not something that is to be taken lightly, as there are midterm exams, endterm exams, and class tests, so it is very hectic to survive in an IIT. But it's a good thing that it teaches you how to handle pressure. The curriculum is updated, and it is very relevant from a research point of view. The semester exams can be moderate-ddifficult based on the type of course that is opted for. A minimum 5 CGPA is required to pass a subject.

Other: My batch consisted of 44 students, out of which only 42 are there now. It is very common for students to drop out of IIT because of the pressure and stress. However, the time passes very quickly here because many things are going on once in a while. There are fests, cultural programs, festivities, knowledgeable sessions, and movie screenings in the convocation hall every 2 weeks. You can get a huge amount of exposure here because people from around India and even around the world are present here.

I am satisfied with this college.

Placements: In IIT, the placement is approximately 100%. About 80% of students from the INT M.Sc. batch got placed in different core and non-core companies, and the rest 20% opted for their PhDs. The highest package offered was 48 LPA by Razorpay, the lowest package was 14 LPA by a pharmaceutical company, and the average package was 16 LPA. For placements, students prepare for both core companies and non-core companies. Top recruiting companies were Goldman Sachs, Razorpay, Microsoft, Dr. Reddy's, Mankind Pharmaceuticals etc. The internships are quite good for this course. Many students went abroad for student exchange programs and did their internships. Some went to different software companies, and some to different pharmaceutical companies as per their interest. The internship rate was approximately 85%. Software engineer, consultant, financial advisory, etc., are the top roles offered to students.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of IIT is at its best. It has two lecture hall complexes for academics, which are fully air-conditioned and have high-tech facilities. Practicals and some lectures are conducted in the chemistry department, which is very good. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. A central library and departmental libraries are available with offline and online resources. Hostels are quite good, and the rooms are big enough. Rooms do not have AC, but you will have fans. In summer, you are allowed to keep coolers. The mess facilities of different hostels are very good with good quality food, with a TV inside the mess and a sound system. For sports, there are three stadiums, one for cricket, one for football and the other for hockey. For medical purposes, IIT has his own medical institute where you will get 24*7 services.

Faculty: The faculty are well qualified in IIT Roorkee. They all are post-graduates from reputed foreign universities and have an ocean of knowledge. The tier teaching methodology is quite good, and the teaching quality is also very good. Courses offered in this branch prepare students for the industry. We learn maths, physics, economics, biology, sociology, English, and psychology apart from chemistry. Semester exams are not much difficult, but you have to study for good grades.

Other: I opted for this course because of my interest in chemistry and also because of the name of IIT Roorkee. Currently, many improvements are made in this course as it is made more industry-based. In IIT, two fests are conducted a year, and one of them is Thomson, which is a cultural fest and is world-famous. The other is Cognizant which is the world's 3rd largest technical fest. You will get many scholarships here, such as the James Thomason scholarship, fee waiver, merit cum scholarship, etc.

The course is not up to the mark as expected from an IIT.

Placements: To be honest, students do not get many internships, but placements were okay. Most of the tech companies are open for this branch. The college also offers good research opportunities. Professors are decent. More than 50% of students got placed, and the others went for higher studies.

Infrastructure: IIT Roorkee hostels are decent enough, and they provide good Wi-Fi facilities. For the chemistry department, good labs are available. Faculty members are not that great. Sports facilities are really good. If you want to go into sports, this college is a great choice.

Faculty: Exams are the same as other engineering colleges. There are mid-term and end-term exams, and 75% attendance is the required criteria. The course is not tough, and you will not feel much pressure for academics and have plenty of time to do other things.

Other: Cultural activities in all IITs are very good.

Other: IIT Roorkee was like my second home. I did my MSc there. Two years passed just like that. I had some good friends there. The teachers were nice and the facilities were also nice. The library was one of the greatest libraries I have seen. Although Roorkee was a small city, still the IIT campus was full of enjoyment. We had an annual fest called Thomso.

Very nice institute with good infrastructure and facilities. It is worthful to study here.

Placements: Placement in this course are not that good. Only coaching industries visit here to take students from this course. Companies mostly take stude from B.Tech. But if you are good enough you will sure get placed. As best of my knowledge that I have heard the maximum package was 15 Lacs per anuum. But I am not totally sure because very less students take placement. Mostly student do Ph.D. after M.Sc. from IIT.

Infrastructure: The courses design are very good. In this course you get all important topics and project has to be done in 2nd year. The hostels here are very nice equipped with important furnitures, Wi-Fi. ( New hostels only ) The library is very big, the best place to study. Classrooms are also very nice.

Faculty: The faculty here is very helpful and wellqualified. They all have done their post doc or Ph.D. from foreign universities. They are 24*7 ready to solve your doubts. The course is very fast and I think the time is very less, that's why it sometimes creates problem. The difficulty of semester exams depends on the Professor who is teaching you. Some professors take many tests and very difficult exams while some are lenient towards the students. The IIT follow relative grading system and the Pass percentage is good. Almost everyone will pass if they have studied what professor has taught.

IIT ROORKEE is one of the best institutes and has a good infrastructure.

Placements: 40% of students 60 Lacs to 6 Lacs per annum ( but have very low chances to get an internship as companies' arrival rate is very low in the Chemistry department). Unacademy, byjus, chem academy, quanta Chemistry Allen coaching centre, Aakash. 60% coaching centres, Teaching, and research.

Infrastructure: All are very good and up-to-date, have good LAN system, and good Wi-Fi connection and the staff are very nice and sweet. Earlier it was good but becoming worse day by day, have good medical facilities, good exposure to sports and also have students club for indoor games.

Faculty: They are very helpful and knowledgeable, and okay with teaching quality. Yes, this course curriculum is relevant and also makes students ready for the industries. Not soo hard but some subjects are compatible harder and boring, grade above 3 is passing in general.

Other: Interest in chemistry More practical knowledge required They all are awesome.

IIT Roorkee is a great place to learn and grow.

Placements: Placement of IIT Roorkee is very good. My seniors got placed in Aakash institute, FIITJEE etc. The highest package is about 15 lakh, the lowest is 7.5 lakh and the average package is 9.5 Lakh per annum. About 70 percent of students got placed while others got selected in ONGC BARC etc. Placement is good enough.

Infrastructure: IIT Roorkee provides very good facilities like swimming pool, free Wi-Fi etc. Sports and music classes are also arranged. There are proper library, computer labs and classrooms with ACs. Food quality of mess is okay. The canteen provides food at cheap prices. A hospital is there for a medical emergency.

Faculty: The teachers just focus on their own research work and are not that good at teaching. IIT conducts various programs that you can join and learn different instrumantal techniques. Students can join internships in IIT Roorkee or other IITs.

Other: Fest of IIT Roorkee is awesome. The college provides lots of scholarships. There are various clubs in the college.
