Review of Shivaji College, University of Delhi.

Placements: Almost all students got placed. The average salary package offered is 4 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA in our course. Recruiters like Hireyy, as well as many Gurgaon-based startups, visit our college. Internship opportunities are quite good, some secured internships in the first year. Roles offered are digital marketing, data scientist, data analyst, data engineer, and many more.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is quite goodThere are many new classrooms, some are old ones. Library is good and rich in academic books. Canteen is also okish. I'm writing this review, sitting in the canteen while having coffee with my friend. On the other hand, college does not provide any hostel facilities but one can rent a flat or go for PG. There are a lot of flats and PGs, especially for students so accommodation is not a problem.

Faculty: Professors are knowledgeable, well-qualified, and always up for help if students contact them anytime. I won't say course curriculum is exactly designed to be industry-ready. They teach skills that help students to be industry-ready. Semester exams are not so hard if one study well and pays proper attention in classes.

My campus life is worth living.

Placements: I am currently pursuing a Mathematics Honours degree at Shivaji College (Delhi University). Last year, 50% of our batch from the 3rd year were placed. Most of the big companies like Deloitte and TCS visit our college for recruitment.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure of our college is restful. The buildings and classrooms are well-maintained. Library is one of the best places to study. Apart from study materials, novels, newsletters, and other resources are also available. Canteen is a perfect place to hang out with friends. The quality of the food is good and the menu has a variety of food. The overall atmosphere is commodious.

Faculty: Teachers are hospitable and obliging. They guide us until we perfectly understand the concepts. Course curriculum helps students to be industry-ready using certain case studies. Semester exams give us an idea of our progress, it consists of the previous year's papers and tests conducted during classes.

Other: Mathematics Honours was not on my list. After researching about the course, I got to know more about the job opportunities, and then I decided to pursue it.

College is amazing, and teachers are very supportive.

Placements: There are at least 100 students in my batch, and we have two sections of Maths. I am currently in my first year, so I don't have much knowledge about placements. But, there is a placement and internship cell that provides information about various companies that are hiring. Recently, one company came for recruitment with a package of 24 LPA for the computer science hons course for those who had Python as their GE or had a minor degree in CS.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, and the library are well maintained, but we do face some issues in the mathematics lab as some computers don't work properly. However, other facilities are good. We don't have a hostel, so that can be a negative point, but the campus is good, and canteen food is affordable, but the canteen area is small.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and supportive. They guide you at every level. It will definitely make you industry-ready, but you'll have to put in effort to grab amazing opportunities. Semester exams are the same all over DU colleges, so there's no partiality, and the exam papers are the same.

Other: My course is Maths Hons, so it's quiet, but you'll hang of it once you understand. You'll have to attend a lot of classes, as in the first semester, I had to attend classes from 10 am to 5 pm/4 pm, and sometimes 3 pm. Overall, it's a good course.

Great experience in this college.

Placements: The highest package offered by the college was around 20 LPA, which was from the B.Com course, and the average package was around 6 lacs per annum. Around 30-40% of students were placed from the college, and the students who don't get placed go for higher studies in India or abroad.

Infrastructure: The college has around four computer labs and a library with Wi-Fi facilities. All classrooms are well-maintained and have a good sitting capacity, but there are no AC classrooms. There are no hostel facilities in our college, but you will find flats and PGs surrounding the college, though they may be costly.

Faculty: Teachers are very friendly towards the students and are always ready to solve doubts. If you ever need mentorship or any kind of advice, the teachers are always ready to guide you. There are a total of seven subjects in the course, and teachers conduct tests on a regular basis.

Student Life In Shivaji College.

Placements: The placement in our college is not in favor of all the courses. The main courses that get placements are for B.Com students, as most companies look for students from this course. Other courses also have a good placement ratio but not as much as B.Com.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the old building is not that great, but the new building, which was built a few years ago, is very new and technical. The college has Wi-Fi connectivity in almost all areas. The campus has a very big sports complex that includes all sports.

Faculty: The faculty of the college are experienced and teach in a very systematic order. The syllabus is completed on time. Extra doubt sessions are held. The exams are student-based and are logical. The passing percentage is 34%, and it is not that difficult to score.

Register and Apply
Interested candidates have to register online with required information. Non-refundable online registration fee is a mandate without which candidate’s application would not be considered for further processing. Final Selection
Admission is based on the marks obtained in qualifying exam. Selected list of admitted candidates would be displayed on the DU admission portal. Yes you can get admission with that much of percentage. Actually for B.Sc best 3 are taken into consideration which is PCM . Don't worry with that much of percentage you can easily get admission into it. Not all but some colleges will provide the relaxation for girls in cutoff . You can get details
