Q:   What if two candidates score the same marks in Karnataka UGCET result?

A:

Karnataka Examination Authority has released the KCET 2024 results online at the official website. In case two or more candidates score the same marks in the KCET exam then KEA opts for tie-breaking formula. The tie-breaking formula for KCET is given below. 

  • The marks secured in Biology / Mathematics will be considered BTech and other courses.    

  • If the tie still persists then the marks obtained by the candidates in Chemistry / Physics will be considered. BTech and other courses.  

  • If tie still persists then the marks obtained in specific subjects in the qualifying exam will be considered.  

  • If still the tie is not broken, then the candidate's age will be taken into consideration. The candidate with higher age will be assigned a higher rank.

Candidates are advised to follow all the exam day guidelines and instructions on the KCET 2024 exam day. Q:   What is the duration of KCET UGET exam?

A:

Karnataka Examination Authority conducts KCET Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics paper in separate slots. Each paper of KCET exam 2024 is conducted for 80 minutes. The Kannada language exam of KCET will be conducted for 60 minutes for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates. KCET exam Biology and Mathematics exam will be conducted on same day while Physics & Chemistry exam will be conducted on separate day. Applicants appearing in the exam have to carry their KCET hall ticket 2024 along with one valid photo ID proof. Candidates are also allowed to carry their personal pen/pencil and face mask inside the exam centre. Applicants are advised not to carry any item restricted inside the exam centre. Candidates first need to complete the KCET counselling choice filling and locking from the login facility. KEA will first release the KCET mock seat allotment 2024 at the official website. Applicants will be allowed to change their choices after the declaration of mock seat allotment. After reviewing all the choices, KEA will release the KCET seat allotment 2024 at the official website. Candidates allotted institutes must report to the respective college for document verification and fee payment.  

Q:   How many rounds of KCET counselling will be held?

A:

KCET UGCET counseling is generally conducted in three grounds. KEA will first release the KCET mock seat allotment result after the conclusion of the choice-filling process. The first two grounds of KCET 2024 counseling will be conducted for birth general merit and Hyderabad Karnataka region candidates. However round 3 or round 2 extended will be conducted as per the availability of seats. Candidates have to complete the KCET counseling registration as per the schedule. Only successfully registered candidates will be allowed to participate in the KCET 2023 extended round counseling.  

 

Q:   What is KCET mock seat allotment?

A:

Before the declaration of KCET seat allotment result, KEA has published mock allotment result at the official website. The mock seat allotment of KCET 2024 will be released as per the choices filled by the candidates at the time of choice filling. KCET mock allotment is similar to the actual seat allotment result. However, applicants are allowed to change their choices after the declaration of mock seat allotment result. Applicants appearing in the counselling process are allowed to change their course and colleges options KCET mock allotment results.
