For seeking admission to the programme, candidates should possess a BE/ BTech or equivalent degree in relevant stream with a minimum of 60% aggregate (54% for SC/ ST candidates) along with a valid UPTAC rank. GATE-qualified candidates are also considered for AKTU MTech admission. However, such candidates first need to undergo a counselling process along with UPTAC-qualified candidates for seat allotment.

Yes, candidates seeking admission to DR. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University undergraduate and postgraduate courses must have appeared for the CUET-UG and CUET-PG entrance exams, respectively. AKTU will not admit students who do not a valid CUET score. NTA usually releases CUET result in July. CUET UG Counselling is held and conducted separately by the participating institutes. CUET UG Counselling is usually held between Jul and Aug.

CUET UG 2026 exam will be conducted in May/June for 37 subjects. The mode of examination is CBT (Computer Based Test). NTA did not release official notification for CUET UG date sheet. Candidates can know exam details through CUET UG information bulletin. NTA will conduct CUET UG 2026 exam in multiple phases depending upon the number of candidates registering for the exam. Registered candidates can know the exact CUET UG exam on hall ticket. Candidates will have to report at the alloted exam centre on the day of the examination. The exam will be held in two slots each day depending upon the subject combinations chosen by the candidate.

Every year, UP State releases a notification for fee reimbursement for the students of AKTU and its affiliated colleges. Students studying in AKTU can register themselves for fee-waiver scholarship schemes through the Scholarship & Fee Reimbursement Online System of UP State. New students can register online for UPTU Scholarship by visiting the official portal designed for fee reimbursement procedures. It is recommended that candidates must apply for the scholarships at the earliest.
