M.P.A. in Musicology 

at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi

Candidates must have passed Bachelor of Music/Bachelor of Performing Arts {North Indian Classical( Vocal/Instrumental Music)}  or an equivalent Degree from a recognized University with the mentioned marks in Music Theory & Practical in aggregate. OR Candidates must have passed Bachelor of Arts  (Hons.) in {North Indian Classical( Vocal/Instrumental Music)} as a Major subject from a recognized University with the mentioned marks in Music Practical & Theory in aggregate.,  OR Candidates must have passed Bachelor Degree in any discipline with the mentioned marks in aggregate in the qualifying Degree. In addition to it, the candidate must have any one of the following Diploma(s) with the aggregate same mentioned marks in theory and practical : (a) Sangeet Prabhakar  (06 Years) of Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Prayagraj; (b) Sangeet Visharad  (05 Years) of Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapeeth, Lucknow; (c) Sangeet Visharad Purna of Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Mumbai; (d) Sangeet Vid (06 Years) of Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh;  (e) Sangeet Bhaskar (06 Years) of Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh;  (f)  Sangeet Vid (06 Years) of Raja Maan Singh Tomar University, Gwalior;  (g) Any other equivalent diploma course in  Music  {North Indian Classical( Vocal/Instrumental Music)}  run by the institutions of Government of India OR State Government, having minimum course duration of six (06) years.
