Banaras Hindu University offers a four-year full-time BTech course at the undergraduate level. Candidates seeking admission to BHU BTech course must have passed Class 12 or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology (PCMB) with English with a minimum 50% aggregate. Apart from the eligibility criteria mentioned here, candidates are also required to appear for the CUET-UG entrance exam to be eligible for BHU BTech admission 2023. 

According to the NIRF 2024 rankings, JNU is ranked second and BHU is ranked at fifth position. As per an unofficial source, the seat intake is higher at JNU for MCA, however, candidates have a higher chance of getting admission.

Yes, candidates seeking admission to BCom (Hons) courses need to appear for the CUET-UG entrance test. Based on the entrance test scores, BHU will conduct a counselling round. BHU is currently accepting applications for BHU BCom (Hons) admission 2023, interested candidates must visit the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) to apply for the CUET-UG entrance exam.

The accepted exam for Banaras Hindu University MBA is different in the Institute of Management Studies (IMS) and at other campuses. Find below the application procedure for the MBA programmes:

The placement report 2023 has not been released as of now. A few more important highlights related to BHU placements for BTech as per media reports are:

BHU accepts CUET scores for admission to UG and PG courses. The admissions are over within few weeks of CUET counselling. CUET-PG is usually jeld in March whereas, CUET-UG takes place in May. Students must check the complete schedule for exact dates. CUET applications for the coming year will begin in February and continue till April. 

BHU accepts CUET UG scores for admission to several undergraduate courses, including BA (Hons.) in Social Sciences, BA LLB (Hons.), etc. CUET cut-off for BHU has been released for UG courses. BHU has released the Round 4 Seat Allotment Result, and as per the BHU round 4 cutoff 2025, B.Sc. (Hons) in Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology was the most competitive course with a cutoff score of 628.46 for the General category student.

BHU BSc Nursing cutoff 2025 was 45932 for the General AI category students in the first round. For the OBC AI category, the first round cutoff rank was 56465. This difference in the ranks suggests that the competition for the General AI category is higher than the OBC AI category for the MBBS course.

For admission to a BHU BA (Hons) course, aspirants need to complete the CUET-UG application process. NTA carries out the registrations in online mode. Further, to submit the application successfully, candidates must pay the fee on time. Candidates seeking admission to MCA course at the Banaras Hindu University must have passed bachelor’s degree in any stream with a minimum aggregate of 50%. Candidates must also have Mathematics as one of the subjects in either Class 12 or at the UG level. Besides, aspirants are also required to have a valid CUET-PG score for BHU MCA admission 2025.
