Banaras Hindu University MBA admission is entrance-based and includes a multi-step selection process. Interested candidates can check the steps involved in completing Banaras Hindu University admission to the MBA course:
STEP 1: CAT Application Process
Candidates can apply online at www.bhuonline.in. General candidates need to pay an application fee of INR 2,000 and SC/ST students need to pay INR 1,000. To register for CAT, the steps are:
- Open the CAT portal https://iimcat.ac.in/
- Click on 'Register' under the 'New Candidate Registration' tab.
- Enter details and click 'Generate OTP'
- After you register, an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile no.
- Verify your CAT registration by entering OTP in the given field.
STEP 2: Profile Evaluation & Personal Interview
- Cross the determined baseline cutoff criteria established by the university admission board.
- Participate in the mandatory Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds managed directly by the campus faculty.
- Selection is based on your entrance test scores, previous academic record, and PI/GD performance.
STEP 3: BHU MBA Seat Allocation & Fee Payment
Selected candidates are called for a counselling round. Candidates appearing for counselling must bring the original documents. When provisional admission is offered to a candidate, the original documents will be detained by the institute and will be returned after the admission formalities.

Fresh applications for Class 9 to 12 can be submitted until 21 September 2026. Renewal applications for the same classes close earlier, on 25 August 2026. Dashmottar students have separate deadlines in October 2026.
