Banaras Hindu University accepts CAT and CUET-PG scores for admission to its MBA programmes. For the MBA (IB) and MBA courses, aspirants should have a valid score of CAT. Shortlisted candidates are further called for the group discussion and personal interview round. The selection rounds along with the assigned weightage are mentioned below:
- Qualifying exam: 50% weightage
- Academic record: 20% weightage
- GDPI (conducted by FMS, BHU): 30% weightage
The university provides direct admission to the candidates who have represented India in any game/sports approved by their IOA/Federation organized at Olympic/World/Asian/Common Wealth games/SAF and World University, as per the AIU list. These candidates need to apply for admission before the last date of admission in the course and should have passed the qualifying examination. This may apply to MBA programmes. Admission to most of the BHU UG and PG courses is through CUET score. However, for some courses such as PhD, MFA, etc. the university has a separate admission criteria. Candidates must check the admission requirement for the preferred course before applying for admission.
BHU does not accept JEE Main scores for BTech course admission. The interested students need to take the CUET-UG entrance exam to be eligible for selection. Students who get shortlisted based on exam score have to take part in counselling. The seats are allotted in this round only.
