BHU MSc Eligibility & Highlights 2025
BHU MSc course is available in multiple specialisations. Selection takes place on the basis of performance in the PET. The concerned head of the department/coordinator will issue electronic call letters to the candidates for counseling. Students need to attend the counseling procedure for admission after the announcement of the merit lists.

The total tuition fees for the MSc course range from INR 6,700 to INR 1.7 lakh. Students have to pay BHU fees in order to confirm their seats. BHU placements are good. The highest and average packages secured by MBA students in 2025 were INR 19.8 LPA and INR 10.1 LPA, respectively. Median salary stood at INR 9.2 LPA. The university has not yet released the placement data 2026 for other courses. During the placement drive 2025, a total of 177 placement drives were held, and more than 950 students were placed.

As per the BHU CUET cut-off 2025, the closing CUET UG score for admission to most courses ranged from 500 to 600 for the General AI category. For some courses, such as BSc Computer Science & BSc Mathematics with Statistics, the closing score was between 400 and 500 for the General AI category. Cut-off scores for reserved categories like OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and EWS are usually 15-20% lower than the General AI category.

Banaras Hindu University offer MSc course at the PG level. It is available in different specialisations. Candidates must meet the eligibility and selection requirements for admission. Mentioned below are a few course specialisations:

BHU accepts CUET scores for admission to UG and PG courses. The admissions are over within few weeks of CUET counselling. CUET-PG is usually jeld in March whereas, CUET-UG takes place in May. BHU admission to most of the courses is entrance-based, hence it is compulsory to appear for the CUET-UG/ CUET-PG entrance exams to get admission to BHU undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Banaras Hindu University can be reached via air, rail, or road transport. The airport the nearest to BHU is Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport. It is around 30 KMs away from the campus.

BHU accepts CUET-UG scores for admission to several UG courses. Candidates seeking admission to BHU must apply online to register themselves. Follow the step-wise admission process as given below:
- The BHU application process is conducted in online mode through the official website of NTA (nta.ac.in). The fee for General category students is INR 750, INR 700 for OBC-NCL/EWS, and INR 650 for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender.
- Candidates need to download the admit card by visiting the official website of CUET 2025 and clicking on 'Download CUET Admit Card'.
- After the declaration of the CUET result, students seeking admission to BHU UG courses are required to apply online for CUET-UG Counselling on the BHU UG admission portal.
- Further, candidates are required to participate in an online counselling process for provisional admission to the course (s). After that, the final seat allotment will be done by BHU.
