BHU MSc Eligibility & Highlights 2025
BHU MSc course is available in multiple specialisations. Selection takes place on the basis of performance in the PET. The concerned head of the department/coordinator will issue electronic call letters to the candidates for counseling. Students need to attend the counseling procedure for admission after the announcement of the merit lists.

BHU MSc Fees 2025
The total tuition fees for the MSc course range from INR 6,700 to INR 1.7 lakh. Students have to pay BHU fees in order to confirm their seats. The fee structure is inclusive of various components, such as tuition fees, caution money, and more. Mentioned fee is as per the official website/ sanctioning body. Banaras Hindu University fee structure is the sum of multiple components. BHU MSc tuition fee amount ranges from INR 6,700 to INR 1.7 lakh. This fee component shall be charged yearly or semester-wise. It must be noted that the given fee information is as per the official website/ sanctioning body. It is still subject to changes and hence, is indicative.
BHU placements are good. The highest and average packages secured by MBA students in 2025 were INR 19.8 LPA and INR 10.1 LPA, respectively. Median salary stood at INR 9.2 LPA. The university has not yet released the placement data 2026 for other courses. During the placement drive 2025, a total of 177 placement drives were held, and more than 950 students were placed.
The minimum CUET scores required for BHU admission would differ based on category, course and rounds. For the General AI category, the minimum score accepted in the first round was 73.
The CUET BHU cutoff 2026 was published for different All India quota categories for the first round. See the table below to know the minimum score required by different categories.

BHU has a dediacted placement cell which invites prominent companies for the placement drives. During the Banaras Hindu University 2025 placement drive, more than 65 companies participated. Some of the eminent recruiters during the 2025 placements included Cognizant, Genpact, Adani Wilmar, IBM, Infosys, Wipro, Deloitte, KPMG, etc.

The CUET BHU cutoff 2026 was published for the third round for different All India categories. For the General AI category, the cutoff ranged from 53 to145. Hence, a safe score would be above 53 for CUET BHU admissions 2026 for this category.

There are three main railway stations in Varanasi, namely Varanasi Junction (Varanasi Cantt.), Banaras Station, and Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction. Banaras Station is the closest to BHU. Those travelling by road can take NH-19 or NH-31. Various public transports run on these national highways. Within the city, autos, e-rickshaws, and cabs are easily available to reach the BHU campus.

BHU admission process for UG courses has officially closed .Only the candidates who have appeared for CUET UG were eligible to register for this counselling process.
The score required to take admission at BHU depends on the category you belong to and the course chosen. For the General AI category, the round 3 cutoff ranged from 6 to 260 for different PG-level programmes as per the BHU CUET PG cutoff 2026. So, yes, General AI category students can get admission to this institute with a score of 20.
If you belong to the OBC AI category, the minimum score required was 13 in the fourth round. For this category, the cutoff varied from 13 to 242. For more information, click here.
Banaras Hindu University course admissions is entrance-based for most of the programmes. Thus, one-year dropper student can apply for the desired course, however, qualifying the respective entrance is the a must. Apart from this, aspirant should meet the course-specific minimum eligibility requirements as well.
Moreover, the student can be asked to submit an application regarding the reason for drop out. Sometimes even this is not required.
M.D. cutoff is based on NEET PG scores for admission to the MD and MS courses. As per NEET PG cutoff the Round 1 closing ranks for top courses including MD in Radiodiagnosis closed at 159 and MD in Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy closed at 388 for the General category All India candidates. Yes, you can get into BHU with a score of 50 if you belong to the General AI category. The BHU cutoff 2026 was released for the first round for different PG-level courses based on the CUET PG entrance exam.
For the General AI category, the round 1 cutoff ranged from 11 to 250. Students can see the table below to know which courses can be availed with a score of 50.

BHU cutoff 2025 was released for multiple specialisations. Based on the last round cutoff, the closing ranks varied between 1489 and 14447 for the General AI quota. So, if you belong to the General category, you must target to secure JEE Advanced cutoff rank of up to 14447 or below to secure a seat at IIT BHU for BTech admission. For top branches like CSE and Mathematics and Computing, the maximum required cutoff ranks for admission were 1489 and 1924 in the last round.
Note: Cutoff ranks vary for different rounds and specialisations and categories.
Whether you can get BHU for the BAMS course based on the AYUSH results would depend entirely on the category you belong to. For the General and OBC AI categories, the last round cutoff was 30748 and 32844, respectively. Hence, admissions with a rank of 70K are not possible for these categories.
On the other hand, for the SC AI category, the last round cutoff was 148564. There admissions could be possible with a rank of 70K.
CUET score required for BHU admission depends on candidates' selected course and reservation category. CUET UG cut-off for BHU admission 2026 is yet to be released. As per the BHU CUET cut-off 2025, the closing CUET UG score for admission to most courses ranged from 500 to 600 for the General AI category. For some courses, such as BSc Computer Science & BSc Mathematics with Statistics, the closing score was between 400 and 500 for the General AI category. Cut-off scores for reserved categories like OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and EWS are usually 15-20% lower than the General AI category.
