BHU journey 2023–26, from 2023 to 2026, there are a lot of ups and downs.
Placements: Nothing like placement is available at BHU for regular B.A. courses. You can rarely get placements if you are pursuing foreign language courses or linguistics, in which case you have a slight chance of getting placed, otherwise, in other B.A. courses, it is a rare of rare occurrence to get placed.
Infrastructure: Not everyone in the university gets a hostel, you get a hostel on the basis of a merit list prepared using your distance and the marks you scored in CUET through the 20/80 system. There are some good hostels, but you may suffer with the mess food, which depends on the specific hostel. Some hostels do have a library, and each and every hostel facilitates you with 24-hour electricity and Wi-Fi.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified as well. Regarding the course curriculum, I think they should add more to their syllabus. As for the semester exams, those are not too hard to pass, but for a good CGPA, you need to study. However, the administration needs a lot of improvements to make.
Other: I had an interest in my course, and that is the sole reason I chose it. I think they could have held more course-related activities for explanation, as well as a slightly larger syllabus when I compare it with the syllabus of other universities. If we talk about mid-semester exams, they should conduct them properly so that only those who have prepared for them get good marks. Regarding events, it is a poor university in this field unless you are an IIT or medical student, on the other hand, student-organized events are there, and those are top-class.

Excellent facilities and a good campus atmosphere with good vibes
Placements: My course is a B.A. in Hindi, so we do not get placements because Hindi is a language, not a skill-based program. As you know, not many companies recruit for language-based courses. In my university, students from other courses, like IIT BHU, get excellent packages from many companies.
Infrastructure: My university is Asia's largest residential university. It covers approximately 1,300 acres. My department has good infrastructure. Wi-Fi is available 24/7 for students at high speed. Students have three types of libraries. The first is the department library. The second is the central library. The third is the cyber library. University has good hostel infrastructure. The quality of the mess food is good because of university management. They check the quality of food weekly. University provides free medical facilities for students. University also has a good sports culture. They provide all the equipment related to different games.
Faculty: All teachers are well-qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. Most of the teachers have PhD degrees, and some are PhD scholars. The syllabus of this course provides a solid understanding of language and literature. The semester examinations at my university are not very difficult. Generally, most students pass the semester examinations easily. The minimum passing marks are more than 40% or 4 SGPA.
Other: I think all the necessary information has already been given by me.

Enjoy college life, not only studying. You will definitely get placed.
Placements: Around 123 out of 146 students are selected for placements. The highest package is around 87 LPA, and the average package is around 30.11 LPA. Top recruiters include Oracle, Microsoft, Google, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, etc. Around 69 out of 140+ students get internships from the college. Most of the roles offered are SDE, AI Engineer, BASIC, VLSI, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available all over the campus. The library especially has AC and is open 24 hours. Labs have all the instruments for practical use, and the classrooms are very big with AC. The food is also good. There is a night canteen available for students. There are 3 grounds for all kinds of games and one SAC for indoor games.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and very helpful. They not only teach us the main subjects but also teach industry-related skills for placement purposes. The college exams are very difficult, and it is generally hard to score marks. However, there is relative grading, so it is easier to get a good CGPA.
Other: I chose this course because it is the best branch.

The college is pretty good in placements to be honest.
Placements: Around 55 to 60 percent out of total students and 83 percent out of eligible students got placed. The highest package is I guess 120 LPA, the average package is 19 LPA, the lowest package is 8 LPA, and the median package is 17 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Google, Microsoft, Vedanta, and Coal India Limited. Only 6 out of 120 students, which is around 5 percent, got internships. Roles offered include SDEs, mining production engineers, business analysts, and consultants.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, and classrooms are clean, and the classrooms are air-conditioned. The libraries are good, although it is difficult to find a seat there as it is mostly filled. Mess food is average, and canteen food is also average. Almost all sports facilities are available in the Sports Council and Gymkhana ground.
Faculty: The teachers are pretty good to be honest, and most of them have completed their Ph.D. from reputed foreign institutes. I do not find Chemistry and Physics relevant for the jobs we are going to do, but nevertheless, they help in increasing our thinking capability. Semester exams are pretty difficult to be honest, and many students get backlogs.
Other: I am getting this college as the best option among all in JoSAA counseling. Maybe some of the old curriculum should be removed, and movie nights should be organized like in other IITs. I have not experienced many fests yet, so I cannot say much about those.

Some inside knowledge of BHU before you take admission.
Placements: There is little to no placement for B.Sc. degrees themselves. A B.Tech degree cannot be compared to a B.Sc. degree. Placements will occur only when we do our Master's. I have no idea if there is any year when there has been placement in our college for B.Sc. CS. An internship is mandatory in our 4th semester, whether done outside or in the college itself.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very prestigious and historic. BHU is considered to be one of the best central universities for its overall infrastructure and hostel life. Hostels are affordable and good for their value. Each hostel has a different mess, and a student can have a meal in any one hostel.
Faculty: Professors are helpful. They possess good knowledge of the field. The teaching quality is above average considering a Bachelor's degree. They often conduct quizzes to assess students' studies. There is no burden of mandatory attendance. The course curriculum is based on the NEP. It is relevant and better than other colleges.
Other: Events are managed by students. The college has very little intervention. Extracurricular activities are provided through sports and other projects. There are inter-hostel competitions and institute competitions in which students can participate.

Review of B.A. Economics Programme at BHU.
Placements: Banaras Hindu University has a career guidance, training, and placement Cell. Placements can differ from course to course. Professional courses like MBA, B.Tech, and MCA offer spectacular placement opportunities. Various companies such as Fintech, Wipro, Axis Bank, etc., come to recruit students. As per my knowledge, there are ample placement opportunities, and they need to be improved for most of the UG courses like B.A., B.Com, B.Sc., etc. Students mostly pursue higher Studies or research. The final placement depends on the course, skills, and preparation of the student.
Infrastructure: BHU has a well-developed campus with most of the basic amenities available for its students. Classrooms are big and well-furnished. There is a huge and spacious central and cyber library where almost 13 lakh books are available. It also provides students with a good Wi-Fi connection, hostel, Medical, library, ATM, and transport facilities. Apart from this, all departments have separate canteen facilities. The campus also has grounds and courts facilities for various sports such as cricket, basketball, volleyball, etc. The large campus provides a peaceful and suitable environment for academic and personality development.
Faculty: The faculty members are good. They have in-depth knowledge of their respective subjects. They are accountable, responsive towards students, and will guide you whenever needed. They help in overall personality development by helping or pushing students to speak, analyse, and evaluate critical thinking in their subjects and beyond. Overall B.A. Economics follows the curriculum of the NEP 2020 framework. The course well structured and lays a strong foundation for students in economic theory as well as in practical application. The B.A. Economics exams are generally of a moderate level and syllabus-based.
