Coming to the environment of the college, the college has a peaceful environment. The college has smart classrooms with projectors, Wi-Fi, etc. Coming to sports, MVGRC College has a large cricket ground and a basketball court.
Faculty: Academics in our college, MVGRC, have highly qualified and friendly teachers who help students to continuously grow in their careers. Coming to the semester exams, it is difficult to attempt them. The pass percentage of our branch is around 70%. Our teachers were very helpful and supportive. They are very kindly. It makes industries ready students. They practically trained us, took the exam, and did everything better for us. Semester exams are quite difficult. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: Since childhood, I have liked the subject. The best thing about the course is the history.

Faculty members and infrastructure are satisfied.
Placements: In our batch, 35 students were there. Most of us were now pursuing MCA and some were in M.Sc. Few got internships in TCS and Wipro. Top recruiting companies were TCS and Wipro. Now on campus, they were not available but off-campus, they were there. The project we did last year was very helpful in our interview panel. From this course, we offered various roles like software developer or web developer, game developer and many which one wanted in their chose according to their course knowledge which we gained during the course.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure quality was good. Hostel was not available but the other facilities were well. Good hygiene quality of food available in the canteen. Medical facilities were available. Sports, games, and gym were also available. Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, library, and all were well-maintained.
Faculty: All faculty members were very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality was good. This course was very helpful, as computer knowledge was required everywhere. As it was a practical based course, it made the students industry-ready. Semester exams were not much difficult.
Other: This course was practical based and made students industry-ready. The best thing about this course was that it helped shape the career path during the course. Apart from this events, fest, extracurricular activities, annual function, departmental function, connectivity with senior junior were all available. Scholarship-related help was available.

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Economics - Batch of 2028
Offered by St. Xavier's College Kolkata
3.8
4Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Mildly satisfied with the faculty, great opportunity for creating future connections.
Placements: 50 to 60% students get placed, the highest placement for economics is around 24LPA, and the lowest is 4LPA. Top recruiting companies are majorly consulting firms, the best being McKinsey. Internships are majorly internal if taken via college otherwise, its up to you what you want to do for your internship elsewhere, but you have to submit a report about the same. Top roles offered are those of a Data Analyst and a Financial Analyst, depending on what field you want to further pursue.
Infrastructure: The course is really good, although no Wi-Fi services in the classrooms and on campus. Hostels are below average because you have to return to your hostel vicinity by 7:30 to 8 pm maximum. Library is top notch with really good space for self study as well, and you can study at a pace of your mind. The food in hostels is decent, the medical facilities are decent, and sports and games within the college are really good overall.
Faculty: Faculty is good, with them actually caring about the students and trying to maintain a healthy relationship with students. The quality of teaching is somewhat on par, and most of them are highly knowledgeable and helpful. They try to encourage you to study what is outside the scope of the syllabus for your own knowledge. Course curriculum is relevant as a subject, but no modern day applications are presented, and it definitely does not make you industry ready. Semester exams are pretty normal, nothing too difficult, and pass percentage is really high, with just 4 to 5 students failing in my class at max.
Other: Value for money 100% due to a reasonable fee of 75k per year, and the crowd is also good, although its just people from West Bengal and barely anyone outside from other states. The campus life does not exist because it is so small, but the events within societies are really fun and good, and you gain a lot of experience from them, with a huge scope for connectivity and extensive extracurricular activities present as well.

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Microbiology - Batch of 2030
Offered by St. Xavier's College Kolkata
3.8

Great choice for the B.Sc. course, appropriate pricing, and overall development.
Placements: Placement percentages are relatively low since most students apply for higher studies. The average placement package is 5 LPA. The college also has a Study Abroad and exchange program with two US-based and one Australian-based college/university.
Infrastructure: Most of the classes have ACs, so summers are not very harsh. The main canteen is pretty good with both veg and non-veg options. There are other smaller canteens present on the terrace and near the library. There is free Wi-Fi available over campus, and the library is the perfect place to prep for any exam. I practically live in there during the exam. Weeks.
Faculty: It's really a great blend of academic focus and social opportunities. I was a bit nervous about coming here because it is known for being a bit of a schoolish college, but the day batch has significantly fewer constraints. The coursework is tough, especially in upper-level classes, but it is so much more than that, and I feel like I'm actually learning relevant things that hold practical value. The professors are extremely knowledgeable and very approachable. In case anyone has a good idea with good prospects, they would aid in funding the endeavor.

First year at St. Xavier's College, Kolkata.
Placements: The placement offered in St. Xavier's College is not that great compared to other top colleges in India that offer B.Com. However, the legacy of Xavier's is comparable, and the name of the institution is very valuable when applying for post-graduate programs.
Infrastructure: The college is located in a prime location, and the campus is very lively. It has multiple events happening from time to time. The library is very vast, offering a majority of books that cover almost every single genre. The campus overall is spectacular.
Faculty: The curriculum is designed to adopt the New Education Policy (New Education Policy) with case-based questions that test a student's practical knowledge more than their theoretical knowledge. The faculty is very welcoming and makes sure that the students feel at home.

It is a fantastic college for students serious about their careers.
Placements: St. Xavier's College is very renowned for its placements and internships. Many big companies like IBM, Nestle, Deloitte, Wipro etc. recruit students and provide them internships. The average package of a graduate ranges from 3.5 LPA to 5 LPA. Around 500 students got such placements in marketing, finance, management etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities available are well-furnished classrooms with air conditioning along with 2 playgrounds, a library, and many auditoriums. Our hostel has a good Wi-Fi connection, and along with that, they serve meals which are of great quality 3-4 times a day. Our hostel also has an infirmary for any problems that require medical attention.
Faculty: The faculty is highly qualified, with most professors holding a Ph.D. degree, and the quality of teaching is excellent. The curriculum taught by the teachers is very relevant for situations in today's world, as we are taught with the help of real-life examples. Therefore, it is pretty easy to understand, and anyone who studies for 1 or 2 hours a day would be able to score really good marks, due to which the pass percentage is very high.
