Q:   Is CUET exam registration open?
9thumbs up
A:

No, Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2027 registrations have not commenced yet. The registration window will be active at cuet.nta.nic.in. NTA will release the CUET 2027 notification in first week of January. Soon after the release of the CUET official notification, the CUET registration 2027 process will commence online at the official website. Candidates willing to appear for the CUET 2027 exam must complete the application form online. Additionally, before filling application form, candidates must make sure that they have fulfilled the prescribed CUET eligibility criteria to qualify for the entrance exam.

Q:   Do I need 60% in Class 12 to get admission in DU?
A:

DU is considered one of the most competitive universities in India for Commerce, Science and Arts education at the undergraduate level. The university and its affiliated colleges was attracting the cream layer of crowd till the time admission was subject to Class 12 scores. While reserved category candidates still had minor chances of getting into a not-so-popular course of DU with 60% in Class 12, a General category student with 60% had no chance of getting into any good college or course at DU.

However, starting 2022, DU admission process has shifted to CUET-UG based admission process. Those with a valid score in CUET UG exam who have passed their Class 12 are eligible to take admission now. While the chances of getting into a good DU college are still low at this score, the chances of getting a seat have increased now (provided you score extremely well in CUET UG).

Q:   When will be CUET UG exam conducted?
A:

CUET UG 2026 exam will be conducted in May/June for 37 subjects. The mode of examination is CBT (Computer Based Test). NTA did not release official notification for CUET UG date sheet. Candidates can know exam details through CUET UG information bulletin. NTA will conduct CUET UG 2026 exam in multiple phases depending upon the number of candidates registering for the exam. Registered candidates can know the exact CUET UG exam on hall ticket. Candidates will have to report at the alloted exam centre on the day of the examination. The exam will be held in two slots each day depending upon the subject combinations chosen by the candidate.

On All Courses
Q:   Can I get admission in Delhi University without CUET?
A:

CUET UG is compulsory for admission in the affiliated colleges of University of Delhi for UG courses. Delhi University introduced admissions through CUET scores in 2024 for candidates who seek admission. Candidates will not be granted admission on the basis of merit of class 12th. However, there are some specific percentage criteria needed to appear for the CUET exam for class 12th candidates which is given below:

  • Students must have passed Class 12 or appeared in Class 12 from a recognized board in any stream to take admission to bachelor’s degree programmes in the central, state, private or deemed universities.
  • For the General category, the candidate needs to secure a minimum of 50% in Class 12; for SC/ST, candidates must have secured a minimum of 45% in Class 12 to be eligible for the CUET 2025. For BTch programmes, the minimum aggregate for the General category candidates is 45%, and that of the reserved category candidates is 40%.

Morever, candidates who wish to apply for Delhi University must have a valid score in CUET. Undergraduate courses including BCom, BTech, BA, BSc and more are offered by the affiliated colleges. Candidates can check the entire list of UG courses by clicking here. Also, to know the detailed analysis for Delhi University, stay tuned to this page

A:

This fee, however, is sourced from unofficial sources. Hence is indicative. In reality, the total fee that a student is required to pay is much higher than 360 or 36,620 Indian Rupees. This is because there are other fee components which are charged by DU colleges which include application fee, development charges, exam fee and other components.

Q:   How can I apply for M.Tech at DU affiliated colleges?
A:

Candidates seeking admisison at DU for M.Tech are required to fill the common PG registration form of DU and then appear for the entrance test. Final admission will be subject to admission in the entrance and merit scores at the undergraduate level.

Q:   How will I be allocated a seat at DU via the CSAS allocation (CUET UG counselling process)?
4thumbs up
A:

For seat allocation at DU, students are required to lock their college and course preferences after the result is out. Delhi University will consider normalised scores provided by NTA to calculate the merit scores as per programme specific eligibility. The highest possible preference will be provisionally allocated to the candidates considering the following
criteria:

  • Program-Specific merit
  • Category of the students (UR/ OBC-NCL/ SC/ ST/ EWS/ Minority)
  • Availability of seats
  • Any other allocation rules, policies, or criteria citied by (CSAS (UG)- 2025) or University of Delhi

Good college with good infrastructure.
Placements: Placement opportunities are average, with a decent number of companies visiting the campus every year. Last year, the average package was 6 LPA. Companies offered roles mainly in sales and finance. The college does make efforts to bring recruiters from different sectors.
Infrastructure: One of the best college campuses of DU in terms of infrastructure. Classrooms are super spacious, equipped with basic facilities, and suitable for academic activities. The campus has a library, labs, a seminar hall, an auditorium, and a ground. Overall, the campus is good.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. If students are serious, then this course can make them industry-ready. Moderate level of difficulty. Most teachers are supportive and guide students academically and in projects. Teaching methods are effective. Overall, the faculty is helpful.
Other: I want to go into the commerce line, that's why I chose this course. They should add some more practical things. Events and fests are super cool.

Nice college with good infrastructure. I feel that in terms of discipline, it's better than others.
Placements: My batch at DU is the best batch of the college. A few students in our batch are currently toppers of the university and are also getting offers from many companies for placement. A few of my batch mates are taking the opportunity and are ready to take the offer.
Infrastructure: Our university has the best facilities in all the departments, including faculty members, AC classrooms, the best library, sports facilities like a football ground, badminton court, and a canteen in the college for the students. We also have the NCC in our college.
Faculty: We have the best qualified faculty members in our college with a digital smart classroom and detailed learning sessions. As I am pursuing B.Com. Hons from the college the teachers are so friendly and helpful. We also have a debate session in our college where students participate from different courses.
Other: I have chosen this course to pursue my life in accounts abroad and in our college there are placements from big companies that provide you with the opportunity to work abroad.

B.A. in History and Political Science - Batch of 2025
Offered by Swami Shraddhanand College, University of Delhi
3.2
2Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
It has good teachers, average infrastructure, rude administration, and poor connectivity.
Placements: Students are rarely placed in good working set-ups or offices in the B.A. programme. It is because of the lack of skill education provided in the course itself. The highest package offered is 3.6 LPA by a travel consulting company. The lowest package offered is 1.92 LPA. Students typically don't get job opportunities immediately after this course. One student is placed as an intern at Tech Mahindra due to his exceptional customer handling. Generally, teaching, education counselor, client services, and relations are some roles that are offered after the B.A. program.
Infrastructure: There are two buildings currently operating in our college, namely the old campus and the new campus. The old campus is poorly maintained. There are no proper water facilities and very hot classrooms in summer. The library is somewhat okay, but no Wi-Fi is available on campus. There is a canteen with poor hygiene. Lab equipment is outdated. The new campus is well-maintained, and it is primarily used for all events, activities, and everything. Canteen, water facilities, and washrooms are hygienic. Labs are well-equipped. Infrastructure is well-maintained and updated. It is Wi-Fi enabled. It has a decent amphitheater and a beautiful seminar room.
Faculty: Teachers are undoubtedly qualified and knowledgeable. They are excellent at their subjects. Teaching quality is decent, but some teachers are not up to the mark. The course curriculum is relevant, and it is strictly NEP-based. Although only a few courses, like B.Sc and commerce ones, make students industry-ready. Semester exams are conducted using the question papers provided by the University of Delhi, so they are well-balanced. The pass percentage is 33%.
Other: I chose a B.A. in History and Political Science because I am always keen on these subjects. I wish they would improve the quality of internal assessment and scoring. They are mostly based on many courses. Average fest and a good number of events are organised. It organises exceptionally good seminars every month. The campus crowd is decent, but the connectivity is very poor. It is 11 KMs from the nearest metro station, and the usual convenience is a government bus. It is situated in a village setting, leaving students with very few choices to eat and freshen up nearby.

It is not an excellent college, but it is the best in many ways, like education and infrastructure.
Placements: Placement is not guaranteed, but it is good. This college gives you guidance, and the highest package of the college is 25 LPA, while the lowest is 10 LPA. It is the best in placements. Hansraj College is ranked 3rd in NIRF, and its placement offers are high compared to other DU colleges, and different companies come to the college. Many students also secure internships.
Infrastructure: In my college, the infrastructure is good, and the facilities are average. Hansraj College is in the top 5 DU colleges. The hostels have good infrastructure, and there are great library facilities. There are NCC and NSS society rooms, a huge library with all available books, and different departments like my Chemistry department. There are also sports facilities and a huge ground.
Faculty: In Hansraj College, the professors of every department are good, and they complete their syllabus perfectly and guide the students. The course curriculum is excellent, and they help students in many ways. There are many societies, like Rasayanatyan Chemistry Society, Nistha Society, and many other events each semester, with a pass percentage of roughly 90%.
Other: I choose this course because I am interested in Chemistry. And make future in this. I think to improve in lab and practical facility. Fest are medium not best.

It has helpful and knowledgeable faculty and staff members.
Placements: My course is not directly related to placements, but my friends from other courses said companies like Deloitte, TCS, Infosys, Amazon, Swiggy, Decathlon, etc., visit the Saksham placement cell, though not always. The average package offered ranges from 10-12 LPA. I heard that the highest package offered ranges from 28-30 LPA.
Infrastructure: Our library is good with a peaceful environment. I spent most of my time there. Book issuing is convenient, and we just need the college ID. Classrooms are pretty decent. It has a podium, which is spacious for teachers to communicate and teach. Our college didn't offer hostel facilities. The canteen food is average.
Faculty: Teachers are good, and they solve my doubts. There is no course barrier. I sometimes took career advice from them. They are quite insightful. In exams, the difficulty depends on student's preparation. I think the pass percentage is around 85% in my course.

Decent college with good learning environment and average placements.
Placements: Around 50-70 percent of students got placed depending on the course. The average package is around 3 LPA-5 LPA with the highest going up to 6 LPA-8 LPA. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Wipro, Infosys, etc. Internship opportunities are available but students often need to apply on their own. Roles offered are mostly entry-level like support engineer, analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure with proper classrooms, labs, and a library. Wi-Fi is available but it can be slow sometimes. Labs are decent but could be upgraded. Hostel facilities are average. The rooms are manageable and the food quality is okay. There are sports and medical facilities available as well.
Faculty: Teachers are generally helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good but sometimes it depends on the subject and faculty. The curriculum is relevant but needs some updates to match current industry requirements. Semester exams are moderate not too difficult if you study regularly. Pass percentage is quite good, and most students clear exams without much difficulty.
Other: I chose this course because I have an interest in Science and computer-related subjects. The best part of my course is that it gives both theoretical and practical knowledge. Teachers are supportive and help in understanding concepts clearly. I feel that more practical exposure and industry-level training should be added. The college organizes some events and fests which are enjoyable, and the campus crowd is decent. Connectivity is good and the surroundings are also fine. Scholarships are available but awareness about them should be improved.
