    A:

Q:   How will I be allocated a seat at DU via the CSAS allocation (CUET UG counselling process)?
    7thumbs up
    A:

For seat allocation at DU, students are required to lock their college and course preferences after the result is out. Delhi University will consider normalised scores provided by NTA to calculate the merit scores as per programme's eligibility. The highest possible preference will be provisionally allocated to the candidates considering the following points:

    • Course-Specific merit
    • Category of the students (UR/ OBC-NCL/ SC/ ST/ EWS/ Minority)
    • Seat Intake
    • Any other allocation rules, policies, or criteria citied by CSAS or University of Delhi

Q:   Do I need 60% in Class 12 to get admission in DU?
    2thumbs up
    A:

DU is considered one of the most competitive universities in India for Commerce, Science and Arts education at the undergraduate level. The university and its affiliated colleges was attracting the cream layer of crowd till the time admission was subject to Class 12 scores. While reserved category candidates still had minor chances of getting into a not-so-popular course of DU with 60% in Class 12, a General category student with 60% had no chance of getting into any good college or course at DU.

However, starting 2022, DU admission process has shifted to CUET-UG based admission process. Those with a valid score in CUET UG exam who have passed their Class 12 are eligible to take admission now. While the chances of getting into a good DU college are still low at this score, the chances of getting a seat have increased now (provided you score extremely well in CUET UG).

Campus and college life are great, but not placements.
Placements: The placements are very average, just like any other DU college except for the top colleges. Of course, the top companies are WTW, Preferred Square, etc. The average placement is 6 LPA. Top roles are research associate and business analyst. A very few students get placed, nearly 25-30.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. The campus is nearly 3 acres big. We have 3 buildings, one of which is very old, and the desks are broken, but the other 2 buildings are great. They have good infrastructure. The desks are new, and they are neat and clean. The ground is big. Although this college will provide you with a good college life.
Faculty: Teachers do not care about most of the students. One must visit daily and sit in front to get noticed by the teachers. Otherwise, they’ll come, take their class, and run away. The course curriculum is good and difficult. You might get less study material for this course online.

The best college for UG if you are inclined towards management and finance.
Placements: Placements are top notch. We have the highest ROI in the whole of India for business management at the graduation level. The average package stood at 11.25 LPA while the fees are Rs. 25,000 per annum. Recruiters are McKinsey, Brain and Co., Deloitte, EY, Trinity, etc.
Infrastructure: We have one of the best infrastructures in the whole DU circuit. We have a 7-floor building with centralized AC and a whole basement for car parking. The classrooms are spacious with centralized AC. The seats are cushioned and we have projectors in each classroom. Multiple seminar halls are available for events. A 2-tier indoor auditorium is there, having a capacity of 500 people.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly educated, mostly having a doctorate from reputable institutes like FMS, IIMS. They are toppers of the NET JRF exam at their time. The curriculum is updated to the latest version. BBA FIA is a core finance-centric course, allowing students to learn finance right from UG.

Average college, but standard value for money.
Placements: Talking about my course, if you maintain a CGPA above 7, then you will get placement opportunities in various finance and consulting roles. But not sure about the CTC you will get. Also, it is highly advisable to do a certification course along with the degree because it will help you to have an edge over others.
Infrastructure: Library of the college is good, but overcrowded at times. There's absolutely no sports infrastructure. Classrooms of the new building are good, but old building seriously needs renovation. Apart from this, the social culture in the college is really good, there are a bunch of highly active societies.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, and they are indeed knowledgeable. They do teach sincerely and cooperate on subjects like attendance and assignment submission. Apart from this, I believe everything in the college is fine, but it can be better as the timetable can be better made, as it wastes a lot of time of the students.
Other: BBE has good future prospects as it is a blend of Economics and Commerce, so you have a wider range of opportunities in the future.

Worth for money, best B school at the undergrad level, great placements, and good infrastructure.
Placements: Nearly all the students get placed through campus placements, apart from those applying for off campus. The number of offers last year is 252. The highest package offered to last year batch is 28 LPA, with an average being 11.73 LPA. Top companies recruiting on campus include Brain &Company, Accenture, BCG, Deloitte, EY, etc. Internships vary for individuals, from Big 4 firms to Goldman Sachs, students intern well to get experience. Top roles offered include consulting, finance, and marketing, wherein consulting dominates.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are really great. There are centralized AC classrooms, Wi-Fi facility, seminar halls on each floor, a library with a vast collection of books and resources. The hostel facility at CBS is also good, with the food quality being above average. There are medical facilities available in case of any emergency. The sports facility is really good at CBS, having all the resources and equipment.
Faculty: Teachers are great at their job and are approachable to students as well. They have good knowledge of the subject and try to make students apply concepts in the real world too. The classes are interactive and engaging. The course curriculum at CBS is really great to make students learn what is required in the corporate world and make them industry ready. The semester exams are of a moderate level, and nearly all students pass.
Other: I chose this course because of the knowledge it provides at the undergraduate level. The course is really good for finance enthusiasts. Events at CBS are something that can make someone awe. The campus crowd is competitive yet helpful.

Decent infrastructure, decent faculty, and placements are not that good.
Placements: Placements are decent, not very good. We do have a placement cell, which can help you get a placement. There is also a placement report provided by the placement cell, which you can go through. It will give you all the details that you like, which companies visited, where the students got placed, and the average package.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is improving. They just built a good new building. Old buildings need renovation, their paint is not up to the mark, and people have scribbled on the walls. There is a playground that is big and a good area to play sports like football, cricket, and basketball.
Faculty: Some teachers are good and some are not. Most of them are alumni of Delhi University itself. Sometimes we do have guest lectures, and if there are not enough teachers to teach us. For exams, mostly you have to study by yourself, and exams for the BBE course are tough. Don't forget to go through past year question papers, they are important.

College of vocational studies - DU.
Placements: The placement cell of my college is not working at par. I am almost finishing my 2nd year in college but do not get any internship opportunities to just apply for. The selection is on the other hand but there is no application also. Do not like placement cell for internships although seniors do get jobs, but they are also very less and don't fulfill good amount of students in the batch.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at my college is also pretty average as the college of vocational studies is connected with Shaheed Bhagat Singh College. In the south campus, the overall campus is awesome. But college on its own is not worth it. The classrooms are small, limited sports availability, unmanaged library, etc. All these worse the college experience.
Faculty: Teachers at the college are the best so far. They are very supportive and kind-hearted. One of the best teachers for me is Pranjal Maam, she is the best teacher not just for study but she helps a lot in career guidance. They help in the time of exams, and make the concepts easy. All these quality makes the faculty stand out for the overall college experience.
Other: We do have scholarships in the college for both means cum merit basis. So if you have a good score in college then you can get scholarships. On the other hand, if you are from some reservation like SC, ST, OBC, or physically disabled, etc. Then, you can also avail yourself scholarships. The scholarships are upto 100% for all the eligible students.
