IPU BCA Eligibility & Highlights 2024
IPU BCA 2024 admission is open. Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU or IPU) offers a BCA programme in full-time mode at the undergraduate level. The course is spread across six semesters. In some of the affiliated colleges of GGSIPU, BCA is also offered in the second (evening) shift. Candidates seeking admission must visit the official website of the University to apply online. IPU BCA admission is based on merit in IPU CET/CUET followed by counselling. Hence, the university is not responsible for any amount deposited or paid by the candidate directly to the affiliated colleges/institutes of GGSIPU. Candidates are also advised to not share their User ID or Username and the login password with anyone for safety purposes.

The first year of the course is divided into two semesters. Each of the IPU BCA course semester includes certain subjects (both theory and practical). The theory subjects to be studied in the first year of the course are:

Candidates need to complete their Class 12 or a equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate with English along with Mathematics or Computer Science or any other subject related to Computer Science to apply for BCA at GGSIPU. Hence, it is not mandatory to pass Mathematics. However, candidate must have passed one or other specified subjects in Class 12.
Besides, aspirants who have passed a three-year Diploma in Engineering with a minimum of 50% aggregate are eligible to apply for the BCA programme.

The application procedure is carried out via online mode. Check out the eligibility criteria before registration. The step-wise IP University application process is below:
- Visit the official website of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (www.ipu.ac.in) and click on the 'Admission' tab and further click on 'Online Admission Form' from the drag-down menu.
- Read the instructions carefully, accept the declaration and click on 'Start' to proceed with the registration step of the application process.
- Select BCA from the programme drop-down menu and register with the candidate's name, email ID and contact number. Further, click on 'CET' courses because BCA comes under the 'CET' category courses.
