It is a good college with excellent faculty members and infrastructure.

Placements: Around 80-85% of students get placed with a package ranging from 10-45 LPA. The average package ranges from 18-20 LPA. Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, and Tata Steel are among the key recruiters. Nearly 70% of students secured internships in top firms like McKinsey, BCG, Morgan Stanley, and Qualcomm. Roles offered are data scientist, analyst, consultant, software engineer, and research associate. Overall, placements at IIT Bombay are excellent and highly competitive.

Infrastructure: The campus has decent facilities like Wi-Fi, well-maintained classrooms, labs, and a good library. Hostel facilities are average, with basic amenities. The mess food is manageable, but not great. Medical facilities are limited. There are decent sports and recreational areas.

Faculty: Faculty members are experienced, supportive, and knowledgeable, making the teaching quality quite good. The course curriculum is fairly updated and helps build skills required for the industry. Semester exams are moderately difficult but easy to clear with preparation. The overall pass percentage is high, ensuring students can progress smoothly.

Other: I chose this course for its industry relevance. The best aspects are knowledgeable faculty members and practical projects. It needs better internship support and updated lab equipment. Festivals are fun, but campus connectivity could improve.

Absolutely satisfied because of excellent placement. Very good infrastructure and good faculty.

Placements: The placements for ASI batch are always good. The previous year, 77% got placed. This time, already 86% got placed & placements will continue until the end of May. The companies like Accenture Services, ANZ Bank, KPMG, HSBC Global, UHG, PWC, TCS Analytics came this year. The average CTC this year is 10 LPA approximately as of now. The highest CTC is 21 LPA, and the lowest is 8.5 LPA. Job roles offered are a business analyst, consultant, statistical analyst, FRM analyst, data scientist. For internship & placement, we have institute placement team. A lot of companies offer internship to ASI students. Companies like Accenture Services, ANZ Bank, PWC, Edelweiss Finance, Walmart Labs, HDFC Bank come every year for internships. Apart from these, many startups also come to offer internships. The highest stipend for my batch was Rs. 50,000. The lowest stipend was Rs. 5,000. Some students also worked with NGO. The placement cell works really hard for students, and placement statistics are a proof of it. Usually, 70-80% receive internship offers every year.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good. We have our departmental study room, AC classrooms, Wi-Fi facility available, computer lab. In the hostel, we have all sports facilities. If you need some equipment for sports and is not available in the hostel, the hostel council will buy it within few days. Canteens are open until 3 AM. I can rate food 3.5 stars out of 5. Every hostel has a separate canteen. Apart from this, there are food restaurants also available on campus. The hostel rooms are sufficient for a healthy lifestyle, they are not so spacious but are okay to live in. I haven't faced any hostel related issues.

Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. Most of the teachers are helpful. Few teachers are not good, but overall we have good faculty in our department. There are labs along with theory in some courses. The batch strength is 35. The course curriculum is good, and we have read applied statistics subjects along with few algorithms and programming courses. It's perfectly combined for being data scientist or data analyst. Till now, machine learning is not yet included in the curriculum.

Other: Every year, our department organises Mathematics Olympiad. The campus is beautiful and too peaceful. A lot of opportunities are there to enrich one's personality. My campus has fests like Mood Indigo, Techfest, E-summit, etc.
