NIRF 2024 Rankings are out. As per the latest NIRF 2024 rankings, IIT Bombay ranks #3 under the category 'Engineering'.
The GATE 2026 exam for admission to ME/MTech/PhD courses will be conducted on Feb 7, Feb 8, Feb 14, and Feb 15, 2026.
A few more updates are given below:
- The JEE Advanced 2026 application form is expected to be released in April 2026, and the examination will be conducted on May 17, 2026.
- The JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam for IIT Bombay admission to BTech, BArch, and BPlan courses will tentatively be conducted between Jan 21 and Jan 30, 2026.
- The UCEED 2026 entrance exam for the B.Des programme is scheduled for Jan 18, 2026, and the results will be declared on Mar 6, 2026.
- The IIT JAM 2026 exam date for admission to the MSc course is Feb 15, 2026.

IIT Bombay is one of the top Engineering institute in the country. It is ranked by various bodies. GATE results will be accepted by IIT Bombay for admission to the M.Tech programme. Candidates must secure at least 60% of the total marks (55% of the total marks for SC/ST/PwD category) in any of the following degrees: BE, B.Tech, B.Sc., Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Planning, M.Sc., MCA, MBBS, M.Pharm, B.Pharma, BDS or a recognised qualification equivalent to BE or B.Tech.
To secure seat at IIT Bombay for CSE, students should obtain rank as per the cutoff list. For BTech CSE admission, cutoff was 23 for EWS All India category candidates. Therefore, they should get a rank of 23 or below to secure a seat as per the last round cutoff list.
