Jamia Millia Islamia offers three-year BA and BA (Hons) programmes at the UG level. The BA (Hons) programme is available across 18 specialisations. Admission to Jamia Millia Islamia for BA and BA (Hons) is subject to either CUET (conducted by NTA) or JMI Entrance Exam. Till 2021, admission was subject to the JMI entrance exam across all specialisations. However, starting 2022, admission to a few BA (Hons) specialisations was CUET-based and for the rest, it is university-level entrance-based.

As per the CUET UG website, students seeking admission to BA at Jamia Millia must appear for and qualify CUET exam. Candidates seeking admission under the reserved category can apply for reservation under one category only and are required to fulfil the prescribed eligibility conditions of the course. - 30% of the total number of seats in each course are reserved for Muslim applicants. 10% of the total number of seats in each course are reserved for women applicants
who are Muslims and 10% of the total number of seats in each course shall be earmarked for (OBCs) and ST students who are Muslims. - 5% of seats in all the courses are reserved for physically challenged students.
- 5% of seats in all courses must be filled by internal students of Jamia who have passed their qualifying exam from Jamia schools as regular students.

In the form, fill all the details asked, upload the required documents and pay the application fee. Starting 2022, for BA, BSc and BVoc, JMI started accepting the scores of CUET UG. For the same, students need to register for the exam, appear for it and qualify it. Qualified students of CUET UG are required to register for JMI counselling after which merit lists will be released with the name of the shortlisted students. For the remaining courses, however, the university is still accepting national and university-level entrance exam for final selection.
Economics, Hindi, Sanskrit, Spanish & Latin American Studies, French and Turkish Language & Literature will consider CUET scores for admission starting 2022. Jamia Millia Islamia offers BA (Hons) programme across 17 specialisations along with a BA programme. For all the remaining specialisations (other than the aforementioned ones, the university will conduct its own entrance exam, namely JMI Entrance Exam for final admission. However, before every other criteria, all the interested students must have completed their Class 12 with 50% aggregate.

Jamia Millia's Admission process for 2023 is conducted in online mode only. Candidates willing to seek admission need to visit the official website of the university to fill out the application form, attach documents and pay the application fee. While submitting the application, candidates are required to make a payment of the application fee via credit card/ debit card/ net banking. The application fee once received successfully at JMI's end is non-refundable and no correspondence on this subject is entertained
Candidates have to apply online to appear in JMI Entrance Exam. The application forms are released on the official website of JMI. Candidates have to first create an account by filling their basic details and then fill the detailed application form, select their course, upload required documents and pay the application fee. The registration window usually remains open for a month.
Jamia Millia Islamia releases cut off for different categories, including General, Other Backward Caste, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe. The JMI entrance exam cut off for SC and ST category students is usually lower than cut off for General category.
The full form of CUET is Central University Entrance Test which is an all-India level entrance exam conducted by NTA for admission to undergraduate courses offered in various participating colleges. After the students receive their CUET scores, the university will start calling students for counselling rounds, and then other admission and selection-related processes will take place. As per the official prospectus released by Jamia Millia Islamia in the year 2023, a total of 40 seats are available for BA (Hons) in Mass Media Hindi programme at Jamia Millia Islamia. This is a three-year course divided into six semesters. Admission to BA (Hons) in Mass Media Hindi programme is subject to JMI entrance test conducted by the University. If you belong to the General, PWD, AI category, then according to the JMI CUET cutoff 2025, a score of 112 would not give you a seat for the B.Sc Biotechnology course.
