MGU CAT result 2025 has been announced. The result has been released in the form of MGU CAT 2025 ranklist for every course. The exam was conducted on June 8 and 9, 2025. Candidates who appeared for the MGU CAT 2025, can check their rank and scores at the exam website. The MGU CAT 2025 rank list PDF contains every candidate's name, rank, roll number, category, caste, date of birth, test mark and total mark. Candidates can check their result status by simply logging on to the MGU CAT exam website. There is no need to login for checking the MGU CAT ranklist 2025. 

However, to download the MGU CAT 2025 scorecard, candidates need to use their login credentials. After the announcement of MGU CAT 2025 results, the counselling process will begin for admissions. The counselling process will be conducted course wise and will include Descriptive Test, Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).

CUET PG scores are the deciding criteria for admission to Mahatma Gandhi Central University Post Graduation Courses. MGCU cutoff 2024 has been released for several PG courses. As per the Mahatma Gandhi Central University CUET PG cutoff 2024, the scores ranged between 20 and 135 for the General AII India category students. The PG scores are also released for OBC, SC, ST, EWS, and PWD categories.

Q:   What is the MG University cutoff for BSc course admissions?

MGU Kerala cutoff for the BSc programmes is prepared based on Class 12 or equivalent exam scores. Hence, it varies every year, depending upon the aggregate of the applicants. In 2022, the cutoff for BSc in Physics was 1279 for the General All-India category. The cutoff/selection list can be checked on the official website of the official website of Mahatma Gandhi University.

Q:   What is the course fees for two years MBA in MG University?
A: 

The total course fee for MBA varies at MGU and its affiliated colleges. There are multiple components included in the course fee, such as tuition fee, security deposit, hostel fee, etc. Some of the fee components are one-time chargeable, while some have to be paid annually/semesterly. MGU MBA total tuition fee ranges between INR 35,000 and INR 7.1 lakh. This fee amount is taken from the official website/sanctioning body. It is still subject to changes and hence, is indicative.

How to check MGU CAT 2025 Result

To check the MGU CAT 2025 result, candidates need to follow the steps mentioned below: 

  • Visit the official website: https://cat.mgu.ac.in/
  • Click on the ‘MGU CAT 2025 rank list’ tab
  • Click on your course 
  • The ranklist will appear on the screen 

To download the MGU CAT 2025 scorecard, candidates need to login. Here's the process:

  • Go to the official website of university
  • Click on 'login' option on the homepage
  • Enter application number and password to login
  • Download the scorecard reflecting in the dashboard

What After MGU CAT Result 2025?

After the declaration of MGU CAT result, the university shortlists students for the second phase of admission process which is Centralised Admission Process or CAP, also referred to as counselling. In this process, a Descriptive Test, Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). Three times the required number of candidates are invited to participate in the counselling process.

Post the common counseling round, the final rank list will be prepared on the basis of MGU CAT score, GD/PI/Descriptive Test and adding the eligible bonus marks for NCC/NSS, Ex-Servicemen, etc. To avoid the tie between two or more students who rank will be same, the first criteria is MGU CAT score and the second criteria is age seniority.

Candidates must note that clearing the selection process round is essential for admission. Those who will not appear for the GD/PI/Descriptive Test  round or do not clear it will not be selected for admission.

Preparation of MGU CAT Rank-List 2025

The rank list for all the PG programmes except MA Social Work in Disability Studies and Action, MA English, MA Malayalam and Master of Physical Education and Sports will be prepared on the basis of the following: 

A) Total marks scored in MGU CAT + Total marks scored in GD/PI/Descriptive Test converted into out of 1,000

B) The bonus marks/weightage marks/Handicap mark (-ve)

A+B shall be the index marks. The rank list will be prepared and published accordingly.

Candidates applying for MBA course in MGU need  not appear for MGU CAT. They can register online and upload scores of either CATKMAT or CMAT. Based on the scores, candidates will be shortlisted for the Interview/GD and Written Test round. The result of the shortlisted candidates will be released on the official website of MGU.

Q:   How much are the hostel charges of MG University for BSc candidates?
A: 

MGU Kerala hostel fee is INR 1.3 lakh for the BSc programmes. Students seeking admission need to pay this fee to avail the facilities. This fee may or may not include the mess charges. Q:   What is the seat reservation policy of MG University for BSc courses?

Mahatma Gandhi University reserves seats for the students, who belong to SC/ST/SEBC candidates. The university has seats reserved under the Sports/Cultural/PD Quota as well. The seat bifurcation for BSc courses at the aided colleges is as follows:

  • Open quota seats: 50% in the case of aided/aided forward community Colleges and 40% in the case of aided backward Community Colleges
  • For SC/ST candidates: 15% for SC and 5% for ST categories
  • Community Merit Quota Seats: 10% in the case of aided/aided forward community Colleges and 20% in the case of aided backward Community Colleges

Candidates are required to submit the required document for verification purposes. These documents are checked for eligibility of the candidate. The documents required at the time of the MGU Kerala MBA application process are as follows:

  • Scorecard of CAT/CMAT/KMAT (Mandatory)
  • Passport-size photograph (Mandatory)
  • Qualifying exam
  • Non-Creamy layer certificate (for candidates who are claiming reservation under the OBC community)
  • Certificate of sports and games/NCC/NSS
  • Income Certificate (for candidates who are claiming reservation under economically backward among the forward community)
  • Relevant documents for Experience or other qualification (Only for candidates having any other qualification or information/Experience)
  • Medical certificate of disability issued by a Government Medical Board (Only for candidates with disability)
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable)

The MGU CAT application fee is not refundable. Thus, candidates make sure they do not make any error in the form and that they have fill another form. Even if they have filled the form correctly, but choose to not appear in the exam, the fee amount will not be refunded.

MGU CAT application form is not available offline. The institute releases MGU CAT application form in online mode only at its official website. All candidates have to register on the website, fill the application form and pay the fee online only.
