Absolutely good campus and culture of my college.

Placements: Placement record is 93%. The lowest package is around 8 LPA, average is 12 LPA, and the highest is 53 LPA. Recruiting companies are JP Morgan, DE Shaw, Cisco, Wells Fargo, Samsung, Dell, and many more. Internship record is around 60-70% in B.Tech, M.Tech, and others too. Top recruiters are Samsung, Dell, and Oracle.

Infrastructure: Our college has good infrastructure. It has great scenery in college since it is in the mountains. Building of each department is too good with proper management and all. Hostels also have better space management and mess systems for hostelers, along with night canteen facilities. Separate hostels are available for both boys and girls of each year. Lecture halls are there with all facilities like AC rooms and smart board.

Faculty: Faculty members are good in terms of teaching their subjects. They teach us with their own different style making us understand each topic clearly. Each student is assigned a faculty as consultant to look care of students. Faculty also help in getting internships, and work experience either in companies or in other IITs.

Other: Being student from CSE I must say that all faculty members are skilled in their domain and tried their best that they can do for students. Also, events like Hill'fair and Nimbus are arranged on our campus which are must to attend that glorify our classes.

Strong infrastructure, average placements, and academics have become strong over the past 2 years.

Placements: NIT Hamirpur has approximately 89.1% placements of eligible students. The average annual package was 10 LPA, and the highest package was 1.2 crores, offered to B.Tech CSE students. Top recruiters were Oracle, Microsoft, Amazon, CRED, Infosys, Samsung, etc., and various others, which can also be accessed from its website. Mechanical Engineering had 100% placements last year. Almost every branch has more than 60% placements.

Infrastructure: NITH has Wi-Fi-enabled hostels (8 boys hostels, 4 girls hostels), and the most affectionate part of the college is its infrastructure. The view that hostel balconies provide is full of serenity, and one can sit there for hours without any gadgets or a second thought. Hostels are more like staycations, with Wi-Fi, good food, and events that happen annually on the hostel premises, including inter-hostel and intra-hostel tournaments. The college has a Health Care Center. The library and reading halls are fully furnished with AC facilities. Labs of each department contain instruments under the guidance of lab assistants.

Faculty: Faculty in NITH are well educated and hold degrees from NITs and IITs themselves. They have various research papers published in their name, which can provide enormous guidance to students for their projects. The course curriculum is relevant as per the latest 2024 batch. The older one was not upgraded, but after 2024 it has changed and includes various practical subjects and industrial training in the curriculum. Semester exams are of moderate to difficult level and include actual application-based questions. The passing percentage is 5 grade points each semester and includes an attendance criterion of 75%.

Placements: The placement are decent of this college. The average package of this college for all branch is about 11 to 12 LPA which is quite good. Branch wise computer science has highest average package of about 15 to 16 LPA. Mtech placement are also good for top branches.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of hostel is good like you are provided every basic thing like hot water in winter, filter water for drinking, hygiene environment and you are provided a volleyball ground in the middle of hostel along with badminton court too.

Faculty: The faculty of this college are well educated and experienced. All teachers are PhD holder and they are humble and polite. One thing that you have to remember is about study so you have to study little bit more as compared to other. The academic pressure is still high.

Good placements and location.

Placements: In batch 2024, more than 80% of students got on-campus placement in the Computer Science and Engineering branch. The highest on-campus package was 40 LPA, and the lowest was around 5 LPA. The average package is around 8 to 12 LPA (8 LPA is the most commonly offered CTC). Top recruiters included Capgemini, BNY Melon, Cisco, MAQ Software, Juspay, UKG, Genpact, and Natwest Group. Around 90% got on-campus internships, but most were either unpaid or paid if certain stringent criteria were met (essentially making these also unpaid). Most companies offered Software Engineer and Data Analyst roles.

Infrastructure: Libraries were very good and contained a huge collection of books. Classrooms were good and spacious. Labs were equipped with computers. Many hostels faced severe water shortages during the summer. Cleanliness was poor in washrooms. The canteen or mess food was average. There were badminton courts, table tennis, etc., in hostels.

Faculty: Teachers were well-qualified and knowledgeable, but there were a few exceptions. The teaching quality was average. Mostly focused on finishing the syllabus. Most of the courses were relevant and used in the industry. For example, machine learning, data structures and algorithms, distributed systems, etc. The semester exams were easy to pass but difficult to score full marks. The passing CGPI was 4 out of a scale of 10.

Other: The course was very interesting and helped me land high-paying jobs and research. The placement cycle and its coordination could have been better. There were annual fests like Nimbus and sports events.

Campus life is very nice and enjoyable.

Placements: It is encouraging to observe the arrival of reputable organizations such as Google and Wipro, as they actively recruit students from our esteemed institution. Furthermore, the robust alumni network plays a pivotal role in securing internships and placements for a significant number of our students.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good, and facilities are just okay. The hostel is the worst. There is a Wi-Fi facility, but it only gives 1 GB of data. The labs and classrooms are very good. The mess food is not good for South Indians, and the quality is also not very good. Sports and games are very nice.

Faculty: Faculty is very nice, and curriculum is old. Semester exams are also very hard, and we can start studying from first, which will be nice. There is curriculum for CSE students that is old curriculum. There is no use of engineering chemistry for CSE students but they kept teaching it.

Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University. iii). The chances are very low that you'll get an admission. Even if you do have a home state quota you won't be able to get admission into the regular programs. I would suggest you look into the integrated dual degree programs of CSE and ECE as the cut off for those go very high (for home state).it might

Your JEE Main percentile is not enough to get NIT Hamirpur. Please score above 95 percentile for getting admission here. Its better to prepare for JEE Main upcoming exams.
