NIT Rourkela, where you can have greenery to save you from distractions.
Placements: 87% of the students get placed in my course. 23 LPA was the highest, 5 LPA was the lowest, and 12 LPA is the average package offered. Top recruiters are Hyundai Motors, Maruti Suzuki. From my college, about 60% of students get internship offers from the core sector, and most of the students want to be placed in tech.
Infrastructure: Facilities are decent. Canteens have a wide variety of foods. Each hostel has day canteens as well as night canteens, and there are other canteens on campus too. We have Wi-Fi facility in the hostel with decent speed. We have good facilitated labs with good TAs.
Faculty: We have mid-semester exams of 30 marks and end-semester exams of 50 marks, and the total is 100 marks, an additional 20 is internal marks. Exams are generally not that hard, a decent number of students pass the exam. Faculty members conduct tests for the internal marks.

It is a nice college. Everything is really good here.
Placements: 95% of students get placements in our course. The average package is around 11.50 LPA, and the highest package is 30 LPA, which is offered by the IT companies. In the core section, the highest package offered ranges from 18-19 LPA by PSUs like HPCL, BEL, BPCL, IOCL, etc. Top recruiting companies are Tata Steel, MSIL, Vedanta, Bajaj, etc. The top roles offered are a management trainee or GET. In our batch, around 20 students received internships from companies like Reliance, Tata Steel, Bajaj, Exxon Mobile, TVS, etc. The rest students are in some research internships or industrial training. For internships, few companies visit the college, but for FTE roles, many companies visit the college.
Infrastructure: All labs and classrooms in our departments are air-conditioned, having unlimited and seamless Wi-Fi facilities. Lift is also being installed in our department. Regarding lecture venues, it is nice to have AC and non-AC rooms. There is mostly AC, and mostly, in all classes smartboard is being installed. The rest facilities are available here. Regarding the hostel, it is the same thing, but we get non-AC rooms. LAN is available. The internet speed is very fast. Mess is also fine, and it offers good quality food. Both veg and non-veg options are available. Medical facilities are also great. Regarding sports and games, we have many facilities like TT, football, cricket, and badminton. There is a new sports complex with all indoor facilities, a gym, and a squash court.
Faculty: Teachers are very qualified, mostly from IITs and foreign universities. The teaching quality is fine and understandable. The course curriculum is a bit tough but manageable. After the implementation of NEP, new courses like AI, electric vehicles have been introduced. Semester exams are a bit tough and tricky sometimes, but anyone who is sincere regarding studies can easily ace them by maintaining a good balance of academics and co-curricular activities. Mostly, almost everyone passes exams, and if someone fails in a case, they can attend the back paper and clear it.
Other: I have an interest in machines and dynamics. Here, there are many labs and clubs that work on robotics, electric vehicles, drones, and underwater robots, which I am fascinated by, so I chose it. Attendance of 85% sometimes becomes a huddle. The campus surroundings are nice and wonderful. There are many events here in a year, like 4-5 big events. The campus crowd is a bit high since we have 14 disciplines. There are scholarships available from the government and college alumni for needy, deprived, or financially weak students.

Absolutely dissatisfied with mess food but good infrastructure and facilities are also okay.
Placements: 100% of students are placed. 2025 internship session is not at all good. Maximum students do not get paid internships on-campus. Students struggled a lot to get off-campus internship also. The placement committee is not good. Being a mechanical student Bajaj and TCS are the recruiters.
Infrastructure: Mess food is not at all good, rest everything is okay. Games room doesn't have any sort of games in girls hostel. Cleaning is taken care of okay, hostel have rooms of comparatively small size also. Canteens do not have any sort of cleanliness, rest everything is okay.
Faculty: Exams are of medium level but level of education is still old school. 75% of attendance is too tough when you are sick by hook or by crook. You need to get your leave approved by that day only, otherwise your leave approval will not be done, and you will face a grade back.
Other: Fests are good. Extracurricular activities involved being a part of various clubs and societies. Rest of the zone factor is very annoying as a person not from the zone will not get opportunities easily for sure.

Good faculty, the best campus life, and placement.
Placements: It ensures 100% placement with leading tech companies. The highest package in the Mechanical branch is 48 LPA. The median is around 12.45 LPA. There are very good project opportunities and strong connections with Alumni, best friends, and colleagues.
Infrastructure: The college has the best infrastructure and research facilities with top-class machinery provided for research students. There is a Golden Jubilee building that functions very well, and we have the TIIR building where new startups and ideas from the college get funded and bring opportunities for the future.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly experienced and teach us with all their passion and expertise. They have a high number of research papers published and Ph. D.s from IITs and other renowned institutes. They teach very well using PPTs, smartboards, and sketch pens.
Other: It ensures the best campus life with the second-largest engineering campus in India and regular fests, including Innovision, the tech fest, Cosmopolitan, the cultural fest, Nitrutsav, the literature fest, and Vriddhi, the sports fest.

NIT with the all efforts and I did it.
Placements: In the NIT college mostly by the end of the 4 year, the placements will be guaranteed with a small job. Here, the highest package in the college will be 60 LPA. One person got the 1 crore package, he is the cofounder of the company now. Also recruiting companies like Infosys and Amazon like the companies are will be forwarded to give the jobs. Roles will be offered at the college in coding and python.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are too good at the college. Also, the Wi-Fi problem is no issue. Here, the classrooms are super and with the trending of the benches. The washrooms are with the foreign model and also be the neatly of good infrastructure in the college. The canteen food is too good at the college with all the items with non-vegetarian and veg.
Faculty: Teachers are here too helpful in the college and also the qualified teachers are there with lots of degrees. Also with the foreign teaching of the knowledgeable and the students are an industry of the projects are being too good at the college. The industry of the projects is too good with all trips at the college.
Other: I chose mechanical engineering because of the enjoyment all happiness in the work I had been interested in. Also, the software and hardware will be there and nice. The events will be conducted and so nice but the limited events. The fests will be conducted for Telugu fest and it is Northern fest. There is no scholarship provided at the college.

I summarised all points regarding the hostel, faculty, and placements.
Placements: Many students are placed in my branch. Almost my seniors are placed in top most companies even the students with low are also placed in any companies without but main draws back is that the students who are trying to shift to non core is a bit difficult.
Infrastructure: Almost all facilities are provided on my campus, like a library, sports, Wi-Fi, etc. The facilities are also good, but the main thing is that the food is only good for north indian people. The people coming from South India face difficulty with the food they are served.
Faculty: Faculty members are very nice and experienced. There is a vast technology for research in many areas. The curriculum caters to students in various sectors. For example, I have a course in AIML, although I am from the mechanical engineering branch. The semester exams are, as usual, one night batting. The pass percentage is almost 95%.
Other: I chose this course because I have no idea about my career as I didn't explore any domain, so I suggest students explore all domains before choosing a course. Please go through all activities and career development in the course you have selected.

My college review NIT Rourkela, Orissa.
Placements: Aur college that is NIT Rourkela is one of the best college and Prem institute suffer country I have taken admission in its mechanical branch and mechanical branch is also composed of very good and creative minds from all over the country. Placement record is quite good in our Institute and the more than 80% of the students were place last year and the highest package goes around 90 Lacs and the lowest package goes around 9 to 10 Lacs and the average package code around 15 Lacs. In our batch almost 10 to 20% students got internship and which I work.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure of my college, NIT Rourkela is also good. Wi-Fi facilities, we get free Wi-Fi through LAN cables. Computer labs have advanced PCs, classrooms have clever touch-incased projectors for education. If I talk of the quality of food then, since I am vegetarian. I joined vegetarian mess that serves vegetarian food (Jain food mainly) which I am enjoying. My hostel has VS hall, volleyball court, and gym, which I use daily. It's good being here. Sports fest are conducted, where a lot of enjoyment can be done.
Faculty: Teachers are quite knowledgeable and highly skilled. They have completed their B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D. from various NITs and one of the global institutes so we get ample amount of knowledge from them, but still some teachers are quite good and some are learning too. As a student, I find studies boring as usual, but if you see studies unbiased then, curriculum is quite relevant. It can make you sincere and can push you towards, but to be industry-ready we must make use of every opportunity. 50 percent of total marks need to be passed.
Other: The batch in which I have taken admission is B.Tech in mechanical engineering. Since my childhood, I have been inclined towards science and movies. So I only knew that engineering means mechanical engineering. Creative learning and 3D models for curriculum would ignite our curiosity and hence improve our experience in studying. Events and fests are huge and jubilant. Our NIT has 8000 people in population so the crowd is huge, our town has a good connection with other towns. The surroundings are green and a lot of scholarships to offer. I have started doing extracurricular activities such as singing, dancing, and debating as there are opportunities.

Absolutely satisfied because of the faculty, good placements in 2023, good facilities, etc.
Placements: About 50% of students got placed. The highest package during Rourkela placements in 2023 was 83.60 LPA. The lowest was 13.89 LPA respectively. Further, the NIT Rourkela CSE average package in the year 2023 stood at INR 24.07 LPA. Top recruiters of NIT Rourkela in 2023 were Apple, Google, Microsoft, etc.
Infrastructure: The NIT Rourkela Campus is very big with 1200 acres of land. There are nine halls of residence, seven for boys and two for girls with an overall accommodation capacity of over 3,000 boarders. Available facilities are a badminton court, basketball court, cricket ground, swimming pool, tennis court, etc.
Faculty: National Institute of Technology, Rourkela (NIT Rourkela) has experienced faculty members. They have their degrees, Ph.Ds, and diplomas. It employs various professors, associate professors, assistant professors in grade 2, and various other faculty members.
Other: At NIT Rourkela, fests occur very well. I chose this course as I find it very interesting and I am loving it. As many girls don't choose this course, I think there must be some awareness given so that everyone could take this course.

Hello Rahul Das, with percentile of about 60, you must appreciate that 40% out of roughly 10L meaning 4L students are above you. You first need to cross cutoff percentile of your catagory to be eligible for seeking admission in any NIT. NTA will do it in due course of time. Here is last year's cutof
