There are good placements for core branches. Our institute is mainly focused on the research part.

Placements: Placements in our college are average for M.Sc. and Maths students, but it is much better than other NITs, except NIT Warangal. There are a lot of coaching institutes for M.Sc., students and some IT sectors will allow them to sit in placements. The average salary package is about 4.5 LPA and the company bond is approximately 1 year. M.Sc. students can also apply to other IT companies as well. But the majority of the students pursue research careers after their M.Sc. from NIT Rourkela. But some of the students who don't want to make a career in research will go for placements.

Infrastructure: The facilities in our hostels at NIT Rourkela are really good. I am studying here for one year. There are 8 boys' hostels and 2 girls' hostels, and for me, those hostels are comparable to any IIT Hostels. Our hostels are mostly clean, and most of the bathrooms are cleaned three times per day. Every hostel has some water filters with a water cooler. Every hostel has its own mess. Messes are neat and clean, and the food served is also good in both quality and quantity. Every hostel has its own night canteen where you can get various kinds of food, drinks, etc. All hostels have their own garden, and it looks really nice. Every hostel has its own gym too.

Faculty: The attendance system is a little strict. The professors in my branch are very good. They are always there to help us with our problems (academic as well as non-academic). You will get good marks if you write well and to the point. The classes will be a little hectic, which is the major concern of all students. But the evening life is lively. You can enjoy yourself with your friends at the small restaurants present inside the campus. You can have a good evening walk as the campus is large enough.

Everything on the campus is good in its own way.

Placements: Almost 100% of placements are provided here, but it depends on our performance. The highest salary package offered ranges from 40 LPA - 50 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered varies from 5 LPA - 6 LPA. The top recruiting company of our college is Allen Aakash Fiitjee Resonance. Almost 100% of the students got internships. Students got jobs of IIT and JEE faculty members, also in IT companies of data analyst and many other roles. It depends on the students, but everything is overall good.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available, and the classrooms and library are good. Everything on the campus is good. We also have Biju Patnaik library, which is quite good. Labs are good, but sometimes computers are not working. In hostel day/night canteens are there, and the food served is fine in the mess. Medical facilities are also very good, and sports are awesome.

Faculty: Faculty members in our college are helpful and are PhD holders. They are perfect in their field and are knowledgeable. People here are interested in joining our college because the teaching is good, but only a few talent students get that opportunity to join here. The course curriculum is very relevant, and it is good for the future of India as well as the world.

Other: I opted for this course because I like mathematics. I would rate the college as 4.8.

Review of NIT Rourkela - National Institute of Technology (NITRKL).

Placements: You will get placements here if you want. Students mostly get placements in coaching institutes like Aakash, Empower, Books, Avanti, Concept Educations, and some software companies also recruits maths students. The average salary package offered is around 5 LPA in coaching centres, and the average salary package offered in software companies is around 6 LPA.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very nice, and the campus is huge, with a lot of facilities. There are 10 halls for residence with facilities like reading room, common room, TV room also, badminton court and table tennis inside all hostels. There is a very good and huge Biju Pattnaik central library with almost all the necessary books.

Faculty: Teachers here are very helpful. They all did their PhD from India's premier institutes like IITs, IISER and also central universities. All the teachers are very well in their research. The course curriculum is very well designed, and you will study all the high-level of maths topics which covers NET and GATE syllabus.

This college is nice; the view is also good, and the hostel is also good for studying.

Placements: 70% of the students got placement, and the college food is very nice. Every student can check out this college; the placement is very high compared to other colleges. The college offers a high package, with the highest being 15 lac and the lowest starting from 2 to 3 lac per annum.

Infrastructure: The college facilities are outstanding, and the food is also good. The rooms are neat and clean, making it easy for all students to study. The college canteen is outstanding, and the food is delicious, so there's no need to worry. Medical facilities are also good.

Faculty: This college is knowledgeable in all aspects. The college semester is not difficult; you can easily understand all the exams. Every faculty member is very sincere, and you can check books at the library without difficulty. The college's pass percentage is 40.
