NIT Silchar 2025 cutoff has been released for admission to M.Tech courses. M.Tech CSE cutoff 2025 ranged from 602 to 526 for students belonging to the General AI category quota, according to the first and last round cutoff results. In 2024 and 2023, admissions to M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering were closed at 448 and 386, respectively. Analysing the trend over the last three years suggests that the competition for this course is increasing year by year. Please note that this applies to the General AI category candidates; other categories might show different trends. 

GATE CCMT R1 has been released for admission to the M.Tech courses. Candidates seeking admission to the NIT Silchar M.Tech course must secure a rank between 353 and 438 under the first cutoff list for the General category students. MTech CSE cutoff 2025 was released for the year 2025, wherein the range was from 526 to 602, according to the last and first round cutoff for the General AI category. Please note that different categories will have different cutoffs accordingly; for example, the OBC AI category, the NIT Sikkim M.Tech cutoff 2025 ranged from 555 to 486. For the SC and ST AI quota, admissions were closed at 403 and 278, respectively. M.Tech admissions are based on GATE score, followed by  the CCMT counselling process for NIT Silchar 2025.

Candidates need to be graduated with minimum 60% aggregate with BE/BTech from a recognised University to apply for MTech at NIT Silchar. The university from which the candidate obtained their UG degree must be recognised by the government or an appropriate regulatory body.

The fees for NIT Silchar MTech course ranges from INR 1.4 lakh to INR 2.30 lakh. The duration if the course is for two years. Students who want NIT Silchar admissions need to fulfil the eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria is that candidate should have passed graduation with a minimum of 60% aggregate. Students also need to clear the entrance exams which include GATE or CCMT.

As NIT Silchar admission is entrance-based. Admission to its flagship programme i.e. BTech is based on JEE Main scores of the candidates. Further, aspirants are allotted seats via JoSAA Counselling. For admission to MTech and MBA programmes, candidates must have a valid score in GATE and MAT/ GMAT/ CAT/ CMAT, respectively. The selection for MSc programme is based on IIT JAM scores of the candidates.
