This college is value for money.
Placements: Placements rate is very good before covid-19 however, it is still better than many other colleges. Placement is affected everywhere, but the college placements cell still provides necessary opportunities to complete the training within the campus and department.
Infrastructure: The course is well planned, with better laboratories, Wi-Fi facility, and 24X7 open library. Hostels are also clean with all facilities. The library is accessible 24X7, and there are laboratories with all the major, and the latest equipment required for studying plants.
Faculty: Faculty members are very experienced with the highest level of qualification. Semester exams are moderate to tough. All the teachers and professors have articles patented under them, where they also take in research scholars. Semester exams are mostly analytical to their understanding.

Absolutely satisfied, and I feel lucky that I got admission here. Placements are good.
Placements: Before the pandemic, the percentage of placements was awesome. Every year, the placement ratio was more than 85%. But due to the pandemic, the placement ratio declined. The highest package offered is 14 LPA, the minimum package is 2.5 LPA, and the average package is 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies that visit our college every year are ExxonMobil, Honeywell, Bechtel and Cairn Oil. Despite it, many companies that visit are Saurav Chemicals, Infosys, Yara International, Think Gas etc. Very few students get internships from campus because, during their graduation, students prefer to get off-campus internships in big companies like Indian Oil, GAIL (India) so that they can get PPOs. Roles offered are employee as chemical engineer or in a pharmaceutical company. After their respective training in companies for a certain duration, they would get good positions.
Infrastructure: The chemical department has its own library as well as the university library. So, students have an open choice to go to any for study. Every core related book is available in both the libraries (condition being, if students haven't issued them for their personal studies). There are labs for every core subject, but the condition of it is average as our department is quite old. Every classroom is huge, with a seating capacity of around 100 people. Every student has his/her own Wi-Fi ID and password provided by the university. The hostel facilities are average. Rooms need to be refurbished as the condition of most of the rooms are not good enough. There is a gym, common room (for enjoyment) in the hostel, which is being opened for a certain duration. The quality of the food of the mess is slightly good. There is a canteen in every hostel too. If we talk about games in the hostel, it has table tennis, volleyball, chess, and cricket. Even there is a special team of university level. There is a dispensary available near the hostel, which provides medical support to students for free.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful. If students have any doubts, he/she can contact the teachers personally to solve it. All the teachers have keen knowledge in their subject. All of them are highly qualified, and some of them are PhD holders, and some are members of international organisations. The course curriculum is not up to the mark. The same syllabus is being followed from starting years, but there is every core subject present.
Other: In my batch, there are 95 students. The admission criterion is the marks of JEE Mains. I chose this course as I have an interest in the chemical field. The best thing is that in chemical engineering, there is less competition for GATE exam, as students are less, and seats are more as compared with other streams. As I have mentioned earlier, the course curriculum can be improved by including advanced technology. The syllabus should be updated regularly. Campus life is awesome. Hostels are open for 24 hours. There is no restriction for coming late to the hostel. Moreover, the university library is also open for 24 hours. There are various fests organised after a particular time in which famous Punjab singers like Satinder Sartaj, Gurnam Bhullar, and Karan Aujila came to perform. Many films are shot on our university campus. There are various government scholarships provided to the needy students, like SC/ST scholarships, UP scholarships etc. There is a separate building dedicated for this purpose. Students can engage themselves in various fields like research, games and exam preparation. The university provides ample support for it.

Most affordable college with best amenities and campus life.
Placements: Almost 80% of the students get campus placement in our college with an average package of 5 Lacs per annum. The top companies that recruit students include Reliance, ExxonMobil, IOCL etc. All these companies also intern students and also provide pre placement offers. Top roles offered are head engineer, project head etc.
Infrastructure: We have well-equipped and advanced labs in our department with a department library that caters to all course needs. We have advanced books of our course by national and international authors. We also have subscriptions to various course-related magazines and journals. Further, we have the best University library 'The AC Joshi library'. It is a heaven for book lovers. A 3 floor building just for books. Hostels of the university have all the basic facilities.
Faculty: Since it is a government University, it has the best staff, with professors who did their Ph.D. from reputed national and international colleges. Our professors are best in their field. The curriculum provides the best theoretical knowledge which later helps in the industry.
Other: I had interest in the field of chemical engineering that is why I chose it while PU is one of the best for it. The degree is way cheaper than other colleges and PU has the best campus life and extracurricular activities.

A good college with improving infrastructure and decent placements.
Placements: Placements for my batch and senior batch were decent with almost all the deserving people getting placed in reputed companies. The companies that visited the campus were UOP, Vedanta, Reliance Industries Limited, ZS Associates, Cairn Energy etc. Roles offered by them are graduate engineer trainees in manufacturing, designing, and marketing. The placement cell is very useful and works continuously to invite all the reputed companies for recruitment.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is average. Being a government college, the infrastructure could be better. Labs are good and have new equipment. During my tenure, the renovation was ongoing, and so I'm sure it has better infrastructure now. Quality of food available in the student centre is good.
Faculty: The teachers were helpful, qualified and knowledgeable, except for 1-2 guest faculty members, who were research scholars. The student-faculty ratio is 80:1. We didn't get industry exposure due to the college, but the course curriculum mandated 6 weeks training and has a lot of useful insights.
Other: The campus is beautiful, safe and has a lot of greenery. The library is open for 24/7, and a reading room is also available. New hostels are good.

Mediocre satisfaction with the college.
Placements: The placements are good for chemical engineering in the college. It may not be as good as it used to be some 15 years back. But it still offers an average package of 5 to 5.5 lakhs per annum. Many good companies visit the campus like UOP, Reliance, HMEL and many others.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of UICET is average. The university is providing Wi-Fi facility. The campus of the college is good. The labs are well equipped. The department has no canteen of its own, but Panjab University has that thing which is quite famous and is just a 2 min walk from UICET.
Faculty: I'm still a first-year student, so I don't know much about the faculty here in UICET. I have just completed my first semester, and as far as I knew teachers, they are good. The department has some strict teachers too, but I would say that the teachers are helpful.
