Panjab University offers UG and PG courses to the students interested for admission. The courses are offered in a well-structured curriculum to make students industry-ready for the future. The answer is both yes and no. admission to all MBA courses is entrance-based at all the MBA offering institutes of PU. While for an Integrated MBA, students need a valid score in JEE Main exam, admission to UBS and UIAMS is subject to a valid score in CATor PU METexams, respectively. Students who wish to get into the specialisations or courses offered by UIAMS are required to appear for PU MET exam and those who wish to get into UBS are required to have a valid score in CAT exam.
The university did not mention Punjab University BA admission dates 2024, though the application forms had been published on the official website. The deadline to complete the application form at the Punjab University BA was July 2, 2024.
Candidates seeking admission to BSc at Panjab University are required to meet the eligibility criteria. Candidates must have passed the Class 12 examination with at least 40% aggregate in the qualifying exam and passing marks in English.
Student must have out of the three elective subjects offered by him/ her (excepting Anthropology) passed at least two Science subjects. Provided that a student shall be eligible to opt the subject of:
- CS, if he/ she has passed Class 12 with Physics, Commerce/ Economics/ Mathematics and Computer-related subjects such as CS/ IT etc. as one of the elective or optional subjects.
- Biochemistry, if he/ she has passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology
- A student may opt for CS in BSc (Non-Medical) as one of the elective subjects with the combination of Mathematics, Physics, CS.
For a few courses, such as MA, BA, MLib, etc., admissions are completely based on merit in the last qualifying examination. Students must go through the Panjab University CHD-conducted/ national-level entrances and then appear for the university-level selection rounds for final admission at Panjab University.
