According to the previous year's data available on the official website of the university, it shows that the State Government/ UT/ Directorate of Technical Education shall ensure that 10% of reservations for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) as per the reservation policy. Additionally, the university also reserved the setas for minorities i.e., SC/ ST/ OBC category. Yes, Saveetha University does offers BTech and BE courses for the duration of four-years and offered in full-time mode. The university offers several specialisations in BTech and in Bachelors in Engineering courses, such as Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Biomedical, Dental Technology, Energy & Environment Engineering, Electrical & Electronics, Automobile, etc. Additionally, Saveetha University also offers BTech lateral admission, for which candidates must have completed Diploma course or equivalent from a recognised institute or university.

The eligibility requirements for admission to BTech/ BE courses at Saveetha University are candidates must qualify their Class 12 from PCM stream with a minimum of 45%. Additionally, for the selection process, eligible candidates must achieve the required scores in the Saveetha University in-house entrance exam followed by counselling. Moreover, the university also grants admission based on TNEA Counselling. 

Both the fields or specializations have good placement in this university. It cannot be clear said that which specialisation had better placement rate. The overall placement rate of the engineering department is very good. Almost 90 percent of students got placed here and 34 LPA was the highest and 6.5 LPA was the average package which was offered to the students. Also all the engineering departments whether electrical, machenical, computer Science etc. had very good placement rates.

And the cheapest course is Bp.ed which costs 30k per year. Looking at these figures it can be said that this University is not very expensive. Mostly colleges charge more than 3.5 lacs for MBA on an average basis. If you are willing to take admission at this University you should not only consider the fees factor but you should consider other factors too like placements, infrastructure, faculty etc.

Admissions to Saveetha Medical College can be obtained only if students qualify for entrance exams of the respective courses. For medical courses like MBBS, it's not possible to get admission without appearing for the NEET exam. Without qualification for entrance exams, one would not be eligible for admission. Entrance exams might not be required for non-medical courses like B. Sc or BA. Technical courses like engineering usually require entrance exams like JEE Mains.
