Journey in SSN College of Engineering.
Placements: I am a final-year student and I am studying in the electrical and electronic domain. My college got the best placement compared to all the other colleges, especially for Computer Science Engineering. They are offering extremely high package jobs. They are calling lots of reputed companies, and one of my friends got placed in Google and Amazon and lots of other top companies. For core jobs like electrical and mechanical, students are also placed with 12 LPA, and the least placements were 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: SSN has the most beautiful campus and their infrastructure is so beautiful. It’s full of greenery, and no college maintains such infrastructure like SSN. I love the campus, and it is very clean and hygienic. They have huge labs which help the students to learn more practically than theoretically. The hostel facilities are also good. The rooms are so clean and are cleaned every day. The washrooms are also very good.
Faculty: The college has good faculty members. They have 50 faculty per department, so the faculty-to-student ratio is pretty good. They help a lot in making the students understand the concepts very easily. They provide us with study materials which are totally enough to clear the exams and understand the concepts very strongly. They also have demonstration classes.
Other: I got into the electrical and electronic domain, but I wanted to study Computer Science because I hated electrical in my school days. But once I started learning the concepts, it looked very simple for me to understand. I would say my faculty is very good at making the concepts simpler. We also get an opportunity to take seminars which help us to search for the topic and understand how deep we should go to study and learn a topic.

Our college has a well-disciplined environment.
Placements: Placements are good in our college. Almost 90% of students got placed in well-reputed companies. Students are being trained well for placements. It is helpful to face interviews. The lowest salary offered ranges between Rs. 40,000-50,000 per month for beginners.
Infrastructure: Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. There is no network in the hostel. The food served in the hostel is not up to expectations. Labs and classrooms are well-equipped with projectors and have well-maintained devices. Our college provides good medical facilities during emergencies.
Faculty: Faculty members are very helpful. They always help us at any time. They are supportive. Students are trained such that the internal exams conducted turns out to be training for the semester exam, so the difficulty level is the same for every exam. The course has relevant subjects to train students for industry.

Our college has supportive teachers.
Placements: In our college, almost all students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 2 crores per annum. Many students are placed at top companies.
Infrastructure: Our college provides good infrastructure. Our classrooms are well-equipped. The hostel is good and well-furnished. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. A huge canteen is available.
Faculty: Our teachers are fair and supportive. They take extra care to teach students so that they can perform well compared to other board students. Semester exams are easy.

Really good placements in 2022
Placements: 90 percent of people in the EEE department got placed in the IT sector. Those who are passionate about core companies, they have the opportunity to grab their dream one, as many core companies approach SSN.
100 percent of students got placed.
Infrastructure: Sports and games equipment were provided and SSN management was encouraging students for sports and games. A centralized library is there which has all the collections of books, journals, publications, etc. Students as well as faculty members can make use of that. Wi-Fi enabled campus.
Faculty: Faculty members were qualified and knowledgeable. As it is an autonomous college, the question paper will be quite solvable but you will have to read a lot. Students were generally industry ready while applying for ompanies. Teachers were helpful in finding internships.

Our college is perfect for gaining knowledge and skills.
Placements: Our college provides 90% placements and develops several entrepreneurs. This college provides a good career and encourages us in the right direction based on our potential. There are lots of internships opportunities, and they have a strong alumni network.
Infrastructure: There are hostels for both boys and girls, and there are many hostel rooms. Quality of food in the hostel is average. Wi-Fi connection all over the campus is excellent. There are beautiful library, sports complex, football, cricket ground and table tennis court.
Faculty: Classes start at 8 am till 4 pm. There is no pressure in completing the assignments. Quality of education is very good because they have experienced and qualified professors. Students can enjoy college life. Projects are also done in a regular manner.
Other: SSN has many clubs like NSS and YRC. They have technical symposiums for each department, and they conduct intra-college sports. They also celebrate college cultural events named Instincts. There is full freedom in our college.

One of the best Institute to Study.
Placements: The placements are pretty nice. The highest package that was offered was 61 Lacs. The average package for the year 2019 was around 5-6 Lacs. Some of the renowned companies come for recruitment. Companies like McKinsey, ZoomRx, Musigma, ZifoRnD offered general roles in Business Development. The Computer Science, IT, Electrical Engineering and ECE streams had good companies coming in with niche core roles. However, less number of roles were offered for the other departments like Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, and Biomedical. The administration could work more on this aspect and try to bring in more roles for these engineering streams. But the overall placement of the batch was good and many students got very good offers in various MNCs.
Infrastructure: The institutes have 8 departments in total and every department has a separate block equipped wit the lab facilities and separate department libraries. Apart from that, the institute has a central library with thousands of books, journals, and editorials. The campus is fully Wi-Fi equipped. Currently the institute has Normal Hostels and International hostels for NRI students. There is one main canteen with a capacity of 150 people which offers a wide range of cuisine.
Faculty: The professors are highly qualified. Most of the professors hold a Ph.D. degree from IITs and other reputed institutes. The faculty members are very friendly and take extra care in helping the students in academics and as well as other activities. One good thing about SSN is that the faculty members are very approachable and you can connect with them anytime and they never hesitate to guide us.
Other: The institute holds a good reputation in Tamil Nadu and it is one of the best institutes in the state after IIT and NIT. The main reason behind me joining SSN was the quality of education, professors there. SSN helped me in exploring my interest in working towards it. The campus has all the facilities from open-air theatre, international hostels, guest house, sports complex, research center, bank. Departmental stores and three to five food courts.

Placements: The placements in our college are good. Several top companies visited our campus to offer placements. Major IT and core firms visited the campus for recruitment. The average package offered was around 6 LPA, the highest package offered was about 11 LPA, and the lowest salary offered was around 2 LPA. Companies like Accenture, Cognizant, Wipro, Infosys, Ford, Bosch, etc., regularly visit the campus to hire students.
Infrastructure: It is the most beautiful college in India. The number of film shootings happening here tells about the infrastructure of our college. The college is located in the outskirts of Chennai, which gives space to the students. The college gives a lot of importance to sports. One will not face any issues in the hostel.
Faculty: The faculty members are extremely talented and dedicated. They help the students. They are always available to guide and support the students. They have years of experience which they use to make the learning worthy. The teaching methods are not just lecture-based, it is interactive and filled with a lot of fun activities.

The most beautiful college with Good placements.
Placements: In my batch the placement was good. Several top companies visited our campus. Major IT tech firms were the first set of bulk recruiters. Companies like Accenture, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro visit the campus every year for recruitment. There are several Core companies as well that come for recruitment. To name a few Ford, Bosch and Hyundai visit the campus. A few students were also placed in Flipkart which offered the highest package of 11 LPA in our batch. The lowest package was 2.1 LPA. The average package was around 5 LPA. The entire batch was placed but I remember there were a few students who could not get placed due to a heavy number of backlogs. But the average package was more than our senior batch and the number of companies also increased comparatively. The kind of roles offered by the IT firms were mostly associate software level. The core companies offered role like graduate trainee.
Infrastructure: I think I need not write any review about the infrastructure facilities at SSN. The thing that comes to your mind after hearing about SSN is the beauty of the college. The number of film shooting that happens at SSN explains the infrastructure there. The hostels and classrooms are well constructed. The college is at the outskirts of Chennai which gives a peaceful stay to the students. One will not face any issues regarding infrastructure at SSN. The college also gives a lot of importance to Sports. There is a sports block which ensures students participate in sports.
Faculty: The teaching staff always take extra efforts to spread their knowledge. They are always available for guidance and value addition to the students. The teaching staff have number of years of experience and teaching methods are not just lecture based. They ensure the students make the session more interactive and a double way communication.
Other: Scholarship is one thing that needs to be mentioned about SSN. As we all know SSN does not collect any donation and admission is purely merit based. Dr. Shiv Nadar provide full scholarship for rural students and also students who excel in Sports. All engineering streams have around 120 students in the batch. The campus is about 20 km away from Guindy and the transport facilities are good.

Hello Arun,
The admission is based on your class 12th board exam scores only. And, in more specific the scores in PCM is mandatory. As SSN is affiliated to Anna University, you can get admission by applying for TNEA counseling program.

The selection process for B.E. / B.Tech are purely merit based. The candidates for M.E. / M.Tech will also be selected based on merit. But they must have a valid GATE/ TANCET score to apply. Reservations: All reservations for admission will follow the rules and regulations set by the Government.
