Btech in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2028
5.0
College life - Great balance of academics and enjoyment.
Placements: Mostly ECE students take up IT jobs in on-campus placements. Recruiters like Barclays, Fidelity, and many other Fintech companies recruit from here. In the core side, embedded systems are mostly in demand. Students who are very passionate about core take up higher education.
Infrastructure: Library has many resources and books. Wi-Fi facility is also present. There are total 18 ECE labs out of which some are curricular labs and many are research labs. Hostel and mess are also better than many other colleges. Medical clinic is also available on the campus. Sports complex and gym are also available for interested students.
Faculty: Professors teach really well. Just following their notes and attending their classes regularly is enough to get good marks on the exam. The curriculum is updated in every regulation and in the latest regulation (R2024) many soft skills development courses are also added.
Other: There are 2 big annual fests - Invente (tech fest) and Instincts (non-tech fest).

Review of SSN College of Engineering.
Placements: About 100% of the students get placed in my course. The highest package offered to my super seniors was 18 LPA, with an average of 7 LPA and the lowest of 3.5 LPA. For internships, about 5-10% of the students get placed. Top roles offered are SD roles. The companies that come for placements are Deshaw. Co., Fidelity, and City Bank.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure available in my department is great, with complete Wi-Fi available to do our college work. They have great labs and many research labs where students can accompany faculty members in those projects. SSN is one of the colleges where 5G labs are present.
Faculty: All the faculty members who teach here are Ph.D. holders and have in-depth knowledge of what they teach. They have a clear idea about where this topic in the curriculum will be used in a real-world scenario. The course curriculum relevance is based on the Anna University syllabus.
Other: If a student wants to pursue a pure technical role in their placements, then they must go with the IT or CSE department. As they will study in detail about programming languages when compared to other departments.

The best place for placements.
Placements: The highest package of 1.2Cr was given to a student in CSE branch. Around a total of 90 percentage students were placed who were eligible for the placement and seek placement. A large number of students opted for higher education as well. Average package was good.
Infrastructure: The overall infrastructure is good. Classrooms are well equipped. The various labs are well-equipped with instruments and good facilities are provided for research development. Accommodation facilities are good in hostels. Various services provided are great.
Faculty: The environment for study in the campus is best with the top notch facilities and always helpful. It is no less than in school in engagement of teachers with students. Semester courses are relevant and are really helpful for placements. Various course provided makes students industry ready.

Overall best college life and faculty. Placements good and Infrastructure great.
Placements: Placement percentage is over 90%, almost all the students find a placement company. The highest package noted was 1Cr p. a. CTC from MotorQ Company and they took one candidate from college, the lowest packages go to 5-6 LPA. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Google Amazon, trilogy, Goldman Sachs, tiger analytics, etc. Including core companies as well. Top roles offered in course were circuit designer, research assistant, etc. and internship probability is 75% approximately.
Infrastructure: Facilities are available in abundance, good classroom structure, Wi-Fi almost everywhere throughout the college except in certain far out places. Classrooms and library maintained properly. Hostel accommodation is varying, with single rooms and shared rooms, mess food is slightly on the mediocre side. But otherwise everything fine.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful enough, many are easily approachable and qualified to help in many projects, and the course is strictly curriculum relevant and prepares students for practical real life applications. Semester exams are moderately difficult with each subject having its own pros and cons however pass percentage is rather very high.
Other: Course chosen because of interest in topics and circuit design experience, knowing more about this field makes it easier to find relevant jobs in the near future. Due to the pandemic, a significant amount of laboratory practice was cut out and it felt like a lot of hands on experience was missed. Events and fests are conducted very smoothly and without much hassle, college life overall great.

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty and placements in 2022.
Placements: Regarding the placements. Almost 90percent of the students get placed every year with the highest package of 84LPA from adobe, the lowest with 4lpa and an average salary of 5LPA in top companies. Top recruiting companies that hire students from ssn are Amazon, Google, MotorQ, HCL, etc. Students in ssn from third year onwards get chances for internships almost 50percent will get internships.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available always at all places, Labs and library are well equipped and classrooms are maintained hygiene with proper ventilation. Good food is provided in mess and canteen. Sports and games facilities are super cool. Medical facilities are also available in the college.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and they are very friendly. Each and every teacher is a Ph.D. doctorate. They will help you a lot to do certain projects, publish papers. Yes the course curriculum is absolutely fine and make students industry ready. The difficulty is bit high for semester exams and the minimum pass mark is 50 marks out of 100 for end semester exam.
Other: I am interested in this course. Scholarships are provided every year under various categories. Fests, events will conducted very frequently also there are many tech and non tech clubs those will be very helpful .

Review of SSN College of Engineering.
Placements: About 98% of students got placed from our course. The highest salary package offered was 1.17 crore per annum, and the lowest salary package offered was 3.6 LPA. The average salary package offered was 6 LPA. Citi Bank, PayPal and Google are top recruiters here. About 10% of the students got internship offers, and they are yet to be converted to FTE. ML developer, AWS developer and Java or python developer are the top roles offered here.
Infrastructure: Free Wi-Fi is available all over the campus. There is a proper internet connection all over the campus. We can't use WhatsApp, Instagram or Twitter using Wi-Fi as there is a proxy tunnel. In libraries, there are plenty of books to which we have free access. Classrooms are neat, clean and ambient. Our college doesn't serve the best food, but it's better to stay in the hostel and enjoy college life with your friends.
Faculty: All the faculty members here were well qualified, and every faculty member seemed to be at their best when they were teaching. All the courses were industry-relevant, and we were given proper guidance to become industry-ready. If you read well, you can easily pass the exams. The pass percentage was 55%.
Other: I would recommend SSN College, and it is excellent.

SSN College of Engineering: a mixture of both the best and average of a college.
Placements: I'm in my 3rd year so I'm not sure about the present percentage of students placed but with consideration of the past batches, more than 95% of the students were placed. The highest package this year as best to my knowledge was around 1.17 crores and the lowest was roughly between 3.5-4.5 Lacs. Top recruiting companies for my department are Tata Elexis and a lot of software based companies like fidelity also accept students from my department.
Infrastructure: Although the college boasts about its Wi-Fi and infrastructure. It hardly works on your mobile phones. You can use the Wi-Fi completely only on your laptop. The labs, classrooms are the Library are maintained to the best possible and they are quite spacious too for a class of 70 students. I'm not a hosteller but from the input given to me by my friends, the food quality of the message is poor to average, although the canteen has a very large menu to select from and it's also cheaply priced. SSN also has grounds for all kinds of sports along with a gymnasium which is nicely maintained.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified and also knowledgeable and the quality of teaching is good based on the syllabus provided to us. But according to me, the syllabus is outdated and does not include any kind of industry relevant skills and gaining these skills are vital in today's world to stay connected and updated. The semester exams and internals are kept moderate keeping in mind both the strong and weak students and if proper attention is given them a student can pass with distinction very easily.
