Curriculum and life at SSN.

Placements: Almost 90% of students will be placed with a good package. The average salary offered is INR 7 LPA. We had around 200 companies in the last academic year. Companies like TCS, CTS, Infosys, Comcast, Wood, Amadeus, Amazon, Genpact, and British Telecom visit and pick a bunch of candidates.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure at this college is the best in Tamil Nadu. It won't feel like Chennai at all. Campus life here is tremendous. The campus has Wi-Fi everywhere. It is a very beautiful campus. One of the best you can ever find. It's eco-friendly, has a lot of trees, and has a park, which is a hangout spot and a favorite for anyone.

Faculty: Faculty here are friendly and helpful; they let you study your way and guide you not only in the curriculum but also in extracurriculars and others. They always look after you and treat you very well. And they always motivate students to gain knowledge of the latest technology and stuff. They never fail to encourage students to participate in extracurricular activities. Semester exams are moderate. It has a pass percentage of 93.5%.

Our college fee structure is affordable.

Placements: The average salary package offered was 4.8 LPA. Around 60% of students got placed in this course. The highest salary package offered was 24 LPA. Almost 6 students got placed at Amazon. Philips and Astra Zeneca are the top recruiting companies. IT companies like Amazon and Google also visit our college for recruitment.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good. Our campus is Wi-Fi-enabled. The lawns and other areas are well-maintained. Laboratories are equipped with all the instruments needed. The library has all books ranging from novels to textbooks. Our campus is neat.

Faculty: Teachers are very talented and they handle students politely. They use PPT so that students understand them in a better way. Our course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students ready for the industry. Semester exams are moderate, and the pass percentage is 50%.

Absolutely satisfied with my college.

Placements: 40% students have been placed in campus interviews till now. The highest package is 8 LPA, the lowest is 3.5 and the average is 4-5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, IBM, Accenture, Ugam Solutions, Hexaware and many more. 20% students got internship in small companies. The roles offered in my course are data analyst, software engineer, etc. .

Infrastructure: We have Wi-Fi facility with good internet speed. We have 6 labs and each lab has Wi-Fi. Printers and scanners are also available. A server room is present which handles all machines present in 6 labs. Our college also has a library. Our college also has a projector facility for presentation, workshops and seminars.

Faculty: Our faculty is so caring and knowledgeable. They always try to provide the best knowledge to us. They are supportive. Teaching quality is also good. Our curriculum is quite better because we basic knowledge of industries which is covered in our curriculum. Semester exams are also good. Our passing percentage is 70-80%.

Other: I chose Biomedical Engineering course because it is in high demand these days. However, we have a fantastic canteen and campus, and my college fests are also fantastic. My college's student section services are also excellent.

The college has good placements and faculty.

Placements: The college has a very good placement cell, and many companies come here to recruit us. Exams are conducted to refine our knowledge to get placed in the best companies. The college has tie-ups with core companies like Zifo R&D, Zoho, Philips, Siemens and medium-capped industries. The highest package offered is 8-10 LPA.

Infrastructure: The college infrastructure and hostel facilities are good. Single rooms with AC are available. Food is good in the hostel. Wi-Fi is available at places. A big library is available to enhance our knowledge. The college has well-equipped labs and fine classrooms with smart class facilities. There is a clinic called SSN Clinic, where a doctor is available 24x7. A lot of shops are available here. No need to worry about travelling.

Faculty: The teaching quality is excellent. The curriculum is very good for biomedical engineering. The papers of biomedical enhance the students' skills in research. The curriculum makes students ready to innovate devices and equipment.

Other: The best part of the course is that it gives a lot of benefits to society. It creates employment in Tamil Nadu. Activities held on campus establish leadership skills in students. Students are the pillars of SSN. Scholarships are available. The campus is big, and the crowd is high.

It is a good institution for those students who are opportunity grabbers.

Placements: Around 95% of students are placed in our course. The highest salary package offered is 9 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 1.5 LPA. The average salary package offered is 2 LPA. The top recruiting companies are HCl, Zifo, Larsen & Toubro Infotech, Accenture, TCS, CTS, Infosys, and other Citi banks, Goldman Sachs, Thorogood visit to hire students. The role offers are as a graduate engineering trainee.

Infrastructure: In our college, Wi-Fi is decent. The library and laboratories are also good, which includes a good repository of textbooks, journals, and project reports. Laboratories are equipped and maintained. The classrooms benches are old, broken, and have rough edges. The classrooms have good light and ventilations. The washrooms are poor and bad maintenance, reconstruction is in progress.

Faculty: All teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. The teaching methods and tools could be improved. The course curriculum is good on theoretical aspects however, the scope for hands-on practice is less but is essential to be industry-ready. AU semesters exams appear to test remembering abilities rather than understanding. The pass percentage is 60-80%.

Other: It is a great place for people who are into participating, organising, and hosting cultural activities.

The college offers such an environment which is no where else.

Placements: For Biomedical enthusiast students, SSN is a one-stop college. The placement of our department is good. Around half the students got placed in core companies and top companies like Zoho, Freshworks, Philips, McKinsey etc. The salary package offered for the students is good compared to other colleges.

Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure and better facilities for a student to gain knowledge in their stream. Has high-speed internet in classrooms, digital teaching method, and a good library with different genres of books for learning. For sportspeople, there is a good thing that is, you could enhance your skills through the facilities available in our college. The college has a good basketball court, cricket ground, football, table tennis, volleyball etc., and the list goes on. Facilities for sports are topnotch, and students could play them during college hours after 02:00 pm.

Faculty: The teachers of our college have good knowledge and experience in their field. They are supportive of the students and helpful in clearing students doubts anytime. They have high practical knowledge which makes students easier to grasp the concept. Now about the course subjects, as this is an autonomous college, students are allowed to choose the subjects they are interested in.

Other: I chose biomedical as my course because it is about everything you need to learn about today's evolving medical solutions through engineering. This course is equivalent to studying many courses. As this course is not too popular, it would be better for all students if they know there is an interesting course available for medical students. The best thing about the college is the environment you are placed in. It has a good environment where one can have enough time to learn extra things.

Our college provides a wonderful ambiance to develop ourselves in the field of our interest.

Placements: Placements in our college are quite good when compared to most of the other engineering colleges. Companies like Amazon, Zoho, PayPal, Infosys, Philips, Dell, TCS, Zifo Rnd Solutions, Goldman Sachs, Sanmark, L&T, Microsoft, and HCL, etc., have visited our campus for placements drive. Only 10 out of 60 students were placed in core companies from our department, and the rest of the students were placed in IT companies. Overall, the average placement rate is 85%. The college doesn't provide internship opportunities. Students have to search internships on their own.

Infrastructure: SSN college has a very stunning infrastructure. Most of the movies filmed here. The college provides the Wi-Fi facility. There is a lab with advanced engineering equipment. There are two auditoriums for general meetings, seminars, and other club activities. There are 4-5 canteens available on the campus, and they offer tasty food at affordable prices.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and motivate us in different ways. Mostly they use PPTs and videos to make us understand the subject. Our course curriculum is related to the development of biomedical equipment which enhances healthcare facilities.

Other: Our college organises a technical symposium named Invente in August. College also organises a cultural fest in March.

A good place to study CS/IT but it is affiliated with Anna University.

Placements: The placements vary each year. Bulk recruiters visit every year and take in 1000 students. The core placements include offers from the companies such as ZoomRX, Zifo, HCL, Medical Systems, and very recently Philips has recruited one candidate. Other business development companies and analytics came to recruit many students from the college. The salary packages ranged from 2.5 LPAto 6LPA.

Infrastructure: The SSN boasts its infrastructure in terms of labs, sports facilities, and so on. The high-speed Wi-Fi access is provided to the students and faculty members alike. The canteen and other stalls frequented by the students and faculty alike were decent and provided good food. Being a day scholar, I cannot comment on the hostel rooms. The buses were extremely good, and the drivers excised caution to ferry us to and from college.

Faculty: For 250 to 300 students, there are about 30 faculty members having expertise in various fields. Powerpoint presentation and blackboards are the most common methods of teaching used in the course. The students were allowed to experiment beyond lab experiments and facilities were available for the same.

Other: A good place for CS/IT regarding the placement and course applications. The college offers various extracurricular activities and clubs for the students to participate and encourage improvement in various soft skills. A big minus is the fact that it is affiliated with Anna University which does not provide course flexibility, poor grading, and evaluation scheme.
