My college is better for those who want a line-art college life.
Placements: Placements are done with those who have a good CGPA and score. More than placements, the college gives chances for internships. The students get recognised and recruited. Their skills play a major role. They have clues to develop skills and various hackathons.
Infrastructure: Classrooms aren't that worthy, Labs are equipped. Hostel rooms are okay. The canteen has a variety of food. But hostel mess is something you should adjust to. Boys play games, and they get more opportunities than the girls. The campus has its plus and minus points.
Faculty: Exams are held, and the pass percentage is 98 percent. Exams are conducted strictly, and so are the practicals. The university papers are average and won't be that difficult. We just have to follow prime time lessons, and all be good to go. We need to practice exam papers from previous years.
Other: I chose this course based on my interest. The best thing about my course is my classmates. Events are quite few at this college.

Everything is good, neat, and clean. There is no objection to joining the SRM campus.
Placements: CSE has a great value in placement. Students who score above 8.5 percent will go for placements. The highest salary package offered is 70 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 40 LPA. Companies like Amazon, TCS, and Infosys hire students. Internships are based on our skills. Courses like AIML, GT, B.Tech CSE, Arts, IT, Laws, and Biology Microbiology are offered here.
Infrastructure: Everything is fine and good. Labs are useful for us. There is Wi-Fi. The hostel food is good, and they will clean daily. The canteen is also good. In case of any emergency, there is a hospital. There are a lot of games and tournaments.
Faculty: Faculty members are very friendly, and they will clear all doubts. They are knowledgeable. If we listen to class, we can easily crack the semester exam. The minimum CGPA is 8.5. The industry is always ready to take students with their skills, and the college will also support us.
Other: Extracurricular activities are also good.

SRM Chennai for B. Tech (CSE).
Placements: About 80 percent of students get placed. The highest package offered is 60 LPA, whereas the average is 6.6 LPA. Top recruiters are Infosys, TCS, and even start-ups are engaging in placements. Almost all students get internships, and many get internships in start-ups. Top roles are data analyst, and software engineer.
Infrastructure: The campus is quite huge, with a lot of places to chill and hang out with friends. There are many food stalls and joints to grab snacks or have lunch together. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Classrooms are smart. The library has a good stack of all kinds of books. Hostel facility is provided. Many events take place throughout the year, be it hack fests or other co-curricular fests.
Faculty: Faculty is quite nice and tries to resolve every doubt. The curriculum is quite up to date and industry-friendly. The curriculum gets updated as per industry demand. The teaching quality is quite average, some faculty are good, some are just okay. The semester exams are of moderate level, with some internal exams and one end-semester exam.
Other: I chose this course because of its placement rate and criteria. I guess the crowd is way too much, that is the only problem. Otherwise, everything is fine about the course. A lot of fests happen throughout the year. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Scholarships are given on the basis of the admission entrance exam rank.

Students may have some problems as the food is most of the time South Indian cuisine.
Placements: Well, the placements are about 100 percent as the college claims, and the average package is around 7.5 LPA this year in Computer Science with Data Security. The top recruitment were from Tata and Infosys like these companies, and internships were offered only to those who have 10 CGPA.
Infrastructure: Well, the faculty members are mostly South Indians, so you must be fluent in English as are most of the students on campus. The labs are decent. Wi-Fi is available across the campus and also in hostels. The food is mid, and there is laundry available each week. The sports campus is decent.
Faculty: Faculty are really nice and caring, and they provide good guidance and mentorship. The teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable. The course is kind of on the conservative side and does make some good remarks. The exams are quite tough as there are too many assignments and projects. About 90 percent of students usually pass the exams.

The college is good for those who want to study and secure good jobs.
Placements: In my college, almost all students get placed. The highest package is around 43 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA, and the average is around 8-12 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Amazon, Adobe, JP Morgan, and CASE. Around 60-70 students get internships in companies like EY, Barclays, Deloitte, and Amazon. Since I am in the CSE core domain, most students go into roles like web developer, software engineer, data engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is not that bad. It is somewhere in between. We have MLCP labs that are equipped with Apple devices and high-speed Wi-Fi. Classrooms are kind of average, just like normal classes, with no AC and limited Wi-Fi. Our college library has various books, but since everything is online, I rarely go there. The library also has an e-book feature. The hostel and canteen are really nice and have proper facilities with great-quality food. The mess is okay. We have a sports complex where we can play multiple games.
Faculty: Though teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. They still lack in providing proper quality education, making it difficult for students to understand. Honestly, these courses are very old, and the current industry does not use them, so the curriculum is not updated. The semester exam difficulty depends on the preparation of students, which means those who study will get good scores. The questions are bounded to the syllabus, so no outside questions are asked. Students have to score a minimum of 50% to pass.
Other: I chose B.Tech CSE core because I want to learn how computers work and how these coding languages control these big machines. Since I am in the core domain, I have the diversity to choose any path, whether it is ML, AI, Data Science, Blockchain, or any domain. There is no restriction for me. However, I think the curriculum should be updated as it will make the college students ready for the industry by the end of their course, which is very beneficial. Being a North Indian boy, all the events are in their language, which makes it difficult.

Absolutely dissatisfied. Too crowded. No proper management. No planning of infrastructure.
Placements: Not many students get placed. Most of them receive lower packages than they expected. A few students also receive paid internships and placement talks. The fee for the third year is Rs.10,000 per student to attend internships and placement talks.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very poor. I would say it is the lowest all over India. There is no space, and all the buildings are cluttered close to each other. Every time during the start and end of classes, there is a crowd, and it is a very big one. It is the worst. Compared to the KTR campus, it is not even 2% in area of that. The area is very small and holds only 4-5 buildings, like the Ramapuram campus. There are always traffic jams in the morning. It is a very cramped valley way for a university. It does not even have 4 lanes including both sides. It is located in a rural area with no hygiene.
Faculty: Most teachers are not well qualified. Even in speaking proper English, they occasionally start to speak in their native language, knowing well that more than 70% of the class is from other states. Exam papers are not made. They use last year’s question papers, make slight adjustments, and change the date. Sometimes the date is also not changed in the printout. They just shamelessly strike out the older date, write the new date, and get the prints again.
Other: I don't particularly like anything about this college. In this deemed to be university, there are lots of things wrong. No proper areas for students, too cramped. They are building new buildings to allocate more students. Instead of this profit-making greed, they should focus on maintaining the curriculum properly. No events, no fest (we are asked to go to KTR campus for those things), lots of crowd, does not feel like staying on the campus. The surrounding is worse, rural, with trash thrown everywhere. It does not promote extracurricular activities. Too much profit-minded.

Campus life and learning hub.
Placements: SRM University's placements record is generally strong, with a high percentage of students placed, many recruitment drives, and some impressive salary packages, though individual outcomes vary widely by branch and student effort. The average package in 2025 stands at INR 6.6 LPA, and the highest reached INR 65 LPA for top performers.
Infrastructure: The CSE department includes high-tech labs for AI, IOT, cybersecurity, cloud computing, networking, and more, aligning with current industry needs. The University supports research.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members hold advanced degrees ( M.Tech, Ph.D. and have notable industry or research experience. CSE curriculum covers core computer Science areas and is regularly updated to include cutting-edge technologies like AI, ML, cybersecurity, and web development. Curriculum is frequently updated to meet job sector requirements.

Should you consider joining SRM RAMAPURAM.
Placements: "Almost everyone was placed in my course (CSE core). The highest package offered last year was 52 LPA. The average package offered was 7 LPA. The lowest package offered was 5 LPA. In fact, SRM is known for their placement percentage. Companies like Amazon, Google, TCS, Cognizant, and Microsoft recruit here. I would say around 85% of students who applied for internships got them, and our facilities push students to apply for internships and get into companies like Google, TCS, and Infosys. Top roles offered were software development and full stack development.
Infrastructure: To be honest, we have the best labs with all high-end computers. Classrooms are pretty decent with good desks and chairs, and we have a two-floor library with all the books for the whole engineering course. Tbh, on our campus, we don't have a Wi-Fi facility in the college, but we do have Wi-Fi in the hostel. The college is constructing new hostels with rooms that are so premium, equivalent to a 3-star hotel room. I am not a hosteller, but I have heard that the food is pretty decent with South Indian cuisines and North Indian cuisines too.
Faculty: Teachers are well experienced, and the way of teaching stands separate from other colleges' way of teaching. Their teaching is oriented to the future, so when we graduate, we get to experience the field that is in the future. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant. They train the students towards the future industry. The semester exams are not that difficult, we can easily ace 8.5 CGPA even if you are an average student. The pass percentage is 97%.
Other: I am very much interested in learning AI and computer models. The best thing is this is an inevitable sector. The campus could have been a little bigger. The college conducts technical and non-technical events throughout the year, engaging students and making them not feel bored.
