Thapar University offers a four-year full-time BE/BTech course in Computer Science & Engineering at the undergraduate level. TIET 50% seats will be filled on the basis of candidates' performance in the JEE Main entrance exam and the rest 50% is based on the merit of marks secured in Class 12 or equivalent examination in aggregate of three subjects, namely, Physics, Mathematics and any one subject out of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology and Technical Vocational subject. However, as per the official statistics, a year-on-year increase was observed in the total offers made from 2021 to 2023 drives. Likewise, an improving trend was recorded in the total number of students placed over the past three years. The total number of offers increased by nearly 39% from 2021 to 2022 and then further increased slightly from 2022 to 2023. On the other hand, the number of students placed increased by almost 31% from 2021 to 2022 and then increased by nearly 11% from 2022 to 2023.

Step 1: Thapar University Application Process 2025

The very first step of the admission process is to visit the official website of the University to fill out the application form. The TIET application process is conducted in online mode. Candidates have to register through the official website of TIET to apply for any of the programmes. Follow the below-mentioned steps for the complete TIET application process:

Step 1.1: Visit the official website of TIET. 

Step 1.2: Click on “Admission 2025” and register yourself. 

Step 1.3: Fill out the application form by entering the required academic and personal details.

Step 1.4: Upload a scanned photo of the qualifying exam mark sheet and a passport-size photograph.

Step 1.5: Pay the application fee online via debit/ credit card or net banking.

Step 2: Appear for the Entrance Test
