DTU good or bad - reality.
Placements: Till January, around 45 percent of students are placed. Now the mass recruiter has come, who has taken most of the students, so now the average package will go down, and normal will increase. So we can say till today the average is 16 LPA to 17 LPA, and it will decrease to 12 LPA to 13 LPA till the end of the session.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi is very poor, don't rely on Wi-Fi. In the hostel, there is no range you will have to buy your own. In summer, there is no water available in the hostel, the water is scarce. Kindly go for PG in 1st year, it will be good to take PG.
Faculty: The course is for about 15-20-year-old. It's not very helpful. Most students pass. No changes are made in the curriculum, but according to the new rules. Many students get back because they are not able to pass the exam. The semester exams are not much higher level, they are easy and moderate.

DTU is one of the best choices in Delhi.
Placements: In electrical, almost 80% of the total students get placed; however, the total registered students are also 90% of the total strength of my branch. In B.Tech, around 80% of students get placed with an average of 15-17 LPA, where the highest package can go up to 85 LPA domestically and 1.8 crores internationally. Top recruits are Amazon, Flipkart, Google, Bain and Company, BCG, Deloitte.
Infrastructure: The hostels are good, with the newly made hostel being fully AC, and the old ones are non-AC. The new one is an 11-storeyed building with high-class infrastructure. Wi-Fi, labs, and classrooms are all top class here. All the classrooms are air-conditioned. The library is one of the most beautiful parts of the campus, with a lavish 3-storey building. The mess quality is decent, and food is made hygienically.
Faculty: Teachers are good and highly qualified, as most are qualified from IIT, and they teach on whiteboards rather than using presentations. The course prepares us for the chemical core, but the job market in chemical engineering in India is not up to the mark. The semester exams are generally medium, as we have cracked JEE, so it seems slightly easier for us.

I am absolutely satisfied with the college.
Placements: The placement percentage of the batch passed through my branch is very good compared to other colleges. It has 70 percent placements. The average package offered is 13 LPA for a fresher, which is very good if we compare it with other NITs and top colleges.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and all are well air-conditioned. Proper sunlight is there. The cleanliness is well-maintained. The library of the college is very clean. It has all books related to the curriculum. The seating arrangement is also very good for someone to study without any difficulty.
Faculty: Teachers are good and highly qualified. The teaching quality is very good. The course curriculum is very relevant. It provides us with basics and hands-on knowledge. We have workshops where we can learn new things related to our branch practically and without rote learning.

Infrastructure is so awesome, the area is so big, everything is available and the placement is good.
Placements: My college placement ratio is so good because many companies are already going to explore our college from a 5 LPA package to a 1 crore package. So, a variety of placements is given by our college and the ratio is also good. Placement opinion you also know what the value of DTU is all over India.
Infrastructure: I think 1st year hostels are not so good, but after that, 1st year onwards, many hostels are in good conditions and the food is also awesome. You really like the food, because I already joined the mess of DTU, which belongs to 2nd year students, because 1st year food is not so good, but 2nd year is awesome. Hostel infrastructure is really awesome, like APJ, has marbles on it.
Faculty: Faculty members are good and exams are also going in a transparent way, but if I have to retake any exam, I have to pay 7500 rupees which is very costly, so this should be a major issue in my college. Instead, the curriculum of DTU is also good. This college provides overall development of students.
Other: Campus and hostel life is so good and the curriculum is also very good. I like my college I know its ranking after IIT but apart from that this college has its own aura.

Placements were lower in 2024-2025 as compared to previous years.
Placements: In B.Tech, Electrical Engineering, placement offers for 2024-25 were 153 out of 285 registrations on campus. The average CTC offered was 12.89 LPA, with the highest package being 45 LPA. Top roles offered are generally technical roles like SDE, and top firms like Microsoft, Deloitte, and Atlassian, and come for recruiting. Internships are open only to students of a certain calibre.
Infrastructure: First-year hostel rooms are pretty average, but all the facilities are available, like a common room, and there is a central library on campus. The quality of food in the mess is also above average compared to other government colleges. There is a health centre for medicine on the college campus. The sports and games infrastructure is top-notch. There are some cons as well, like Wi-Fi speeds are low, and the rooms don't have proper flooring.
Faculty: Campus life is good, exposure is good, crowd is also good, sometimes mixed. Events and fests this year were not up to the mark, as there has been just one fest, the Diwali mela, and no freshers till now; these things can be improved. Sports activities are good, and the infrastructure, competitions are also held, which are highly competitive.

The hostel and hostel staff are so bad and corrupt.
Placements: Around 65% students got placed this year, and some are also trying to. The highest package was 85 LPA, with an average of 12 LPA. Recruiting companies include Samsung, L&T, BHEL, Tata, and many tech and core companies. Internship opportunities were available for 20-30% of students, with top roles offered as a hardware engineer and a software development engineer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of academic buildings and classrooms is really great. Labs are well-maintained, and the library is also good with good Wi-Fi. However, the first-year hostels are in very poor condition, and the mess food is also very bad. Medical facilities are not so great either.
Faculty: Teachers and professors are well-educated/qualified, and they know very well how to share knowledge. The curriculum of my branch is also good, and with a little side skill and a decent CGPA, students are ready for good placements. Semester exams are moderate.
Other: The best thing about the college is the mindset of the students here. The worst thing for me in this college is the hostel facility. Cultural counselling is inactive, and I haven't even had a freshers' event yet.

DTU is a good college that organizes fests to chill students so that they don't stress much.
Placements: DTU's EE programme covers core topics like circuits, power systems, and machines with advanced electives in VLSI, IoT, renewables, and control systems. It balances theory and labs for practical skills. Strong foundation for industry careers. Placement status placements average 70-80 percent for EE with top firms like TCS, Infosys, and PSUs offering 10 LPA-20 LPA packages. The highest reaches above 40 LPA. Improving yearly with the alumni network aid.
Infrastructure: DTU gives free Wi-Fi on campus, and the classrooms are good. DTU hostels are modern with Wi-Fi, gyms, messes, and sports grounds. Rooms are shared but clean; maintenance is decent. New blocks enhance living standards. DTU's electrical engineering infrastructure is solid. There are modern labs, updated equipment, spacious classrooms, a clean campus, and practical-oriented workshops.
Faculty: Faculty hold PhDs from IITs and are experienced in research and industry. Supportive with mentorship and some excel in projects. Interactive teaching boosts learning. Curriculum balance of practical and theory. Machines, circuits, and power systems are covered. Exams are of a moderate level. Concepts are cleared easily. Faculty is supportive and experienced. The practical learning is smooth.

Completely satisfied with the crowd and lots of events happening every month, very nice faculty.
Placements: A total of 25.5% of students are placed in my branch till now. The highest CTC is 45 LPA from Amazon, and the lowest CTC is 14.83 LPA. In the tech field, the top recruiting company is Amazon. Six students got PPOs, and the average stipend was 50.29k. This time, core branches' placements also improved; if students have done internships and have a good CGPA, they have very good opportunities this year.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, but the Wi-Fi is poor and faces many issues while connecting. The library is kept open during exams, otherwise, it closes at 10 PM. It's a pretty decent library where you can find all types of course-related books, and there is also a separate website for the library. There is no Wi-Fi in the hostels (Type 2). The mess food is fabulous, with meals served four times a day (breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner).
Faculty: Teachers are great. The syllabus is always completed before exams. C language and DSA are also being taught. However, I can't say that this curriculum will make students future-ready. Semester exams are easy to moderate, and almost all in the class pass the exam.
Other: The crowd is happening, and there are always some workshops and events going on in college every month.
