It's a decent college, not good, not bad. Faculty is good, and placements are average.

Placements: Here, not very well. Very few students get placements. The highest package is 18 LPA, and the average is about 6 LPA or lower in TCS and Capgemini. The top roles offered in my college are Software Engineer, Developer, Data Scientist, AI/ML Engineer, Cybersecurity Analyst, and Cloud Engineer.

Infrastructure: Facilities are decent, and infrastructure should increase and have some more space. Wi-Fi does not work everywhere. Hostels are good, and the quality of food is also good. Medical facilities are good, and sports should be better. The only thing that needs improvement in canteen of college space.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful. They inspire us to dream big and achieve our goals. They make learning easy and define their approach to every student. They encourage creativity and critical thinking. Only odd semesters are conducted in only 3 to 4 months.

Other: Passing batches are happy with this college and satisfied with their jobs.

UEM through the lens of mine.

Placements: Almost more than 70% of students placed every year from this college this year the average package is 7 LPA and so many students get 30-50 LPA as well. The lowest package was 4.5 LPA and the highest was 72 LPA CTC. Many companies arrive like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Infrotech, Amazon, Google and many students got the job. Almost every student got internship every year and college provide us internships too.

Infrastructure: There's Wi-Fi in every floor in every classes across our college. In the classroom we get 2 Ahuja speakers microphone and Projector. The college library also contains so many books and a section where 100 personal computers are there for our study. Our college has so many labs also. The faculty members are friendly. Overall the Infrastructure is alright.

Faculty: Faculty is knowledgeable and helpful and friendly. The curriculum also provides us basic to advanced knowledge of coding and everything. Although the semester exams are tough but if you study well the paper is not that tough it's kind of lengthy. In my stream CST the faculty members are really helpful and friendly.

Other: I chose this college because it's the top among all the private engineering colleges in West Bengal. The placement from this college is also good and the curriculum of this college is also. Although I think our college should have a playing ground and a big campus apart from this it has all the facilities available. There are fest in our college like ecstacia and parichay but it's held in a small ground and with some silly rules and regulations. The extra curricular activities like clubs are good and we've so much opportunities also.

My honest review of my college.

Placements: I think around 70% of the current batch students were placed in a well-to-do company. But many couldn't because of the lack of job offers and companies that are not currently looking to employ people. Top recruiters were Cognizant, Infosys, and TCS. All types of roles were offered, both technical and non-technical. For internships, students have to look for them themselves because companies don't visit our college to hire interns.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is small but sufficient. Everything a student could ask for other than a bigger campus is there in our college. Wi-Fi, classrooms, library, gym, canteen, hall, etc., are all provided by the management. Out of 5, I would give it a 3 because of the slow Wi-Fi speed and the quality of classrooms.

Faculty: All the teachers taking our classes are qualified and knowledgeable. The curriculum is quite relevant, but I don't think it's very helpful. Students have to work their way through to get a proper job. The college won't provide you with all the necessary things you need. At the end of the day, it's all up to you.

UEM is a good private college for engineering students.

Placements: Every year, almost 65%-80% students get placed in our course. The highest, the lowest and the average packages of this course are 72 LPA, 4 LPA and 8 LPA respectively. Top recruiters are TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, Infosys, etc. Above 85% of the students get internships in companies like TCS.

Infrastructure: In our college, many facilities are available including labs, ACs, library etc. In our lab, there are so many useful equipments. These are very much useful and sufficient. We do experiments using those equipments. Teachers help us with the experiments.

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful. They teach us with good notes and PPTs. They are very qualified and knowledgeable. Semester exams are pretty much difficult than the other institutes. Most of the students get above 9 CGPA, with many of them getting a CGPA score above 8.

Other: I want to learn about the technology and software based things which made me choose this course. College campus is very crowded every time. Many events are conducted in the college like Utoia, Ecstasia, Reckon, etc.

Truth of University of Engineering and Management, Kolkata (IEM, Newtown).

Placements: The placement package at the college is not so high. But if you prepare yourself for a company placement, you can get a job. Every year, many companies come for the placement activities. Over 90% of students get placed. But in the year 2024, the placement rate is not so good for this college as this is the recession year.

Infrastructure: For the CST course, there is a computer lab and an electronics lab. And you will get experienced teachers there. There are different classes for each section. There is an AV hall, an auditorium, and high-quality machines in the labs. In the labs, there are ACs present.

Faculty: There will be 2 midterms and then the semester exam in one semester. The role of faculty members is average. Some of them will do their best to help you, but some of them will not. The question pattern is as directed by UGC guidelines. But as our university is autonomous, they set their question paper as their own (either from UEMK, either from UEKJ, or either from IEMK).

Other: The rules and regulations of this college are very strict.
