Strict college of Kolkata, University of Engineering and Management.
Placements: I am in my third year so the placement has not been started yet. But in 2025 the 4th year batch had get lot of placement in PWC, Infosys, TCS, etc. The lowest package is 3 LPA-5 LPA. Medium package is 5 LPA-7 LPA. The highest package is 12 LPA-25 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Capgemini, Infosys, Accenture, PWC, and Deloitte. Top roles offered are system architect, data analytics, business development, financial manager, software engineering, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities like Wi-Fi classrooms, free Coursera, LinkedIn courses, big library where we can renew books for the semester, smart classrooms, projector, and smart board facilities in every classroom are available. The quality of the food available in the hostel is good not so bad. There is a separate section of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food options. There is a 12-hour doctor facility in our college.Tennis, basketball, and cricket playground are available.
Faculty: All teachers are Ph.D. scholars and qualified, they are helpful and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is okay. The course curriculum is okay for industry since here we can learn about networking, webdev, analysis, IOT, etc. Semester exams are very difficult questions come from the IIT, so you need to be all the time and our college has one drama i.e. to take exam every time. Pass percentage is 75%.
Other: I chose this course because of the recent trends in CS IT, AI/ML. The best thing about the course is that I can go into the IT field as well as the financial field. One thing I wish to improve is to stop regular exams. Lots of events like a hackathon, smart event, poster competitions, etc., are conducted and connected with NUS, MIT, AIT, etc. Scholarships are not provided. Lot of extracurricular activities are there such as cricket, coding, dance, drama, etc.

UEM is the best place to upgrade your career with the best facilities and support of faculty members
Placements: The placement of UEM is amazing. Above 90 percent of students are placed every year. The major recruiters are TCS, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, and Wipro, with an average package of 5 lakhs per annum. The highest package is 71 lakhs per annum, and the lowest is 2 lakhs per annum. Approximately 90 percent of students get internships while completing their course. This helps them get very focused on becoming efficient and smart software engineers.
Infrastructure: UEM has one of the best library facilities I have ever visited. Books of all knowledge are provided to us, along with high-speed Wi-Fi connections for the benefit of students. The labs are well-maintained and well-furnished, with efficient machines and technologies having air-conditioned facilities. The cafeteria is the best place to satisfy your hunger with tasty and healthy food. The campus infrastructure is just aesthetic.
Faculty: Faculty members of our campus are very helpful and friendly towards students. They keep on motivating and boosting us towards our goal. Their teaching is worth remembering. In fact, lots of us get very inspired from our faculty members. They help students in all efficient ways possible. During college premises and after college premises, they are always available for helping the students. "Faculty" is just a word to say, but their behavior is more like friends, available for each other whenever you need them. The course is very much relevant and makes every student industry-ready with efficient skills.
Other: Campus life in UEM is just fantastic. Along with studies, students are provided with relaxation time by organizing joyful, amazing fests. Our fests are basically based on art, literature, culture, and science. We students get to learn a lot from it, along with enjoyment too. There are various clubs including activities like dance, literature, sports, coding, and many more activities that take place after the college hours with the participation of teachers too.

College review of University of Engineering and Management.
Placements: Generally, about 90% of the students are placed every year. Companies like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant, IBM, DTDC, and many other companies provide placement to the students every year. Roles such as full-sack web developer, machine learning engineer, Java-backed developer, and Python developer are the roles that are offered during the time of placement. The average package that is offered is around 4.5 to 5 LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good enough. The labs are well-equipped with high-end computers and high-speed internet connections. Wi-Fi is available to everyone without any extra cost. The classrooms have whiteboards and projectors installed in them. I have not opted for a hostel, so I cannot tell about the facilities that are available there or the quality of the food.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified, holding Ph.D. degrees in their domains. They are very helpful and friendly. The teaching quality of the teachers is also good. The course curriculum is very relevant, although efforts need to be made by the students to be completely industry-ready. The semester exams aren't that tough if one studies the entire semester, and the notes and other materials provided by the teachers are sufficient.

It is an average college with good teachers.
Placements: In our college, almost 70% of students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 28 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 4.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Capgemini, Cognizant, Mindtree, etc., visit our campus. A few students get internships. Top roles offered are data analyst, consultant engineer, and software developer.
Infrastructure: Our college provides average infrastructure. Labs are available. Classrooms and libraries are good. Games are not available. Few football tournaments are held.
Faculty: The curriculum is well-designed, covering a wide range of technologies to motivate students. The exam structure is good. They provide some competition, but they are not up to the mark. Our teachers are friendly and helpful.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in getting a job in security consulting or database systems. The course provided good understanding of the basics.

It is a good curriculum though hectic but good for a student's overall growth.
Placements: Currently, I am pursuing B. Tech in CSIT and belong to the 2023 pass-out batch. Almost 80% of students from UEM get placed but mostly by bulk recruitment where the average salary package offered is 3.5 LPA - 4 LPA. Only 10% of students manage to get jobs with salary packages of above 8 LPA. TCS, Wipro, Accenture, and Mindtree are some of the companies which come for recruitment. But there are many students from UEM who manage to grab more than 15 LPA off-campus. The curriculum is good and offers exposure. Mostly, the students get hired for junior developer roles.
Infrastructure: There are only three buildings namely, B1, B2, and B3 on campus. Classrooms are spacious but the campus is quite small. We have a cafeteria which is small in size but there is no proper place where students can properly sit and hangout. Wi-Fi is available in labs. Labs are well-equipped and the library is open 24/7. Students can borrow their respective course books from the college library itself. You don't need to purchase them from outside. Food vendors are available within the campus which offer good food at reasonable prices including both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. We have a basketball court which is never used for playing. In the basement, we have a table tennis segment and a badminton court. Cricket and football are the most loved sports by students. We have two doctors available on campus in case of any medical emergency.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are averagely qualified and provide in-depth knowledge if you visit them personally for clearing any doubt. The exam schedule is hectic at UEM, Kolkata. The 6 months semester compromises two mid-semesters of 30 marks each and a final semester which includes project and practicals. Students barely get time to do anything else as for most of the time, students are busy with one test or another, or some projects.
