A journey of college where future are built.

Placements: The placement at our University of Engineering and Management, Kolkata, is very active and provides various types of opportunities to all the students of all the branches. The average package is around 4 to 6 LPA in our college while some students got higher and more than one offer at our college. In our branch, the top recruiting companies included WE, Pro Cognizant, TCS and many others. The top roles offered in our colleges are Software Engineer consultancy and others. 60 to 70 percent of our students got placed last year.

Infrastructure: The overall hostel and infrastructure facility at our college is quite good although it is located in Bengal so most of the non veg meal items is provided in huge amount but for those who are vegetarian there are proper facilities vegetables and other vegetarian food items there the hostels and the hyzen is maintained properly even the water facility at our hostel is good There is also canteen present at the ground floor of our hostel the medical and sports facilities at our colleges are also good.

Faculty: Teachers present at our college are very helpful and respective and they always guide and help the children of our college in such a way that they can easily resolve their doubts and problems. They also guide us as their son and help us achieve higher things, and also help us in our course curriculum. Besides class, there are mainly two exams in each semester mid semester and semester exams, but there are also preferred class tests according to our professors.

Other: I chose the course because I has interest in this domain for a few years since one of our colleagues got placed in higher teach dream company. He is also present in the same branch which I am presently in and he also helped and guided me in that there are some things which can be improved in our course, some things that are not necessary for the placement or those are old education but some things need to be improved and removed. Some new things need to be added which are modern and advanced.

Satisfied with facilities and faculty and provides industry training.

Placements: More than 1500 students received placement from UEM in 2024 with the highest package offered being 72 Lacs and the average package ranging around 8 Lacs. Top recruiters included TCS, Cognizant, Infosys, Capgemini and more. IEM-UEM focuses on the tagline "Good Education, Good Jobs" and prioritize quality education and provides job opportunities and internship.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are non-AC; capacity of the classrooms is 100 students and there is a stage where faculty uses microphone to teach. Library is not huge but has abundant accommodation for the ones willing to spend time there. Labs are average. Wi-Fi is available throughout the college. Campus area is not very large yet provides ample space for the students to go around.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and do their best to make the students understand the concepts and learn new skills. Quality of teaching is satisfactory. Teachers resolve doubts of students during class and also after class hours whenever we need and provide assignments to test our knowledge about the subjects. The course curriculum covers all the necessary syllabus as prescribed by the AICTE and provides students with industry skills such as entrepreneurship skills and making innovative projects or writing research papers.

Other: My purpose behind choosing this course was studying computer Science and I'm really passionate about the course I'm pursuing. UEM does not have fest culture, and it doesn't promote it either. Annual fest happens. This college provides tons of opportunities when it comes to technical activities like coding competitions, hackathons, quizzes, project and poster making events, workshops, seminars and more. Extracurricular like sports or canvas exhibition or rangoli competition and dance competitions also happen.
