The University of Mumbai BE or BTech is a four-year programme offered via more than 60 affiliated colleges. The course is available across 18 specialisations. Admission to BE and BTech colleges of MU (most colleges) is based on a valid score in MHT-CET. However, many affiliated colleges under Mumbai University also accept a valid rank in JEE Main.

The university follows norms of Maharashtra State Government for seat reservation. For SC category students, 13% seats are reserved, 7% for ST students, 19% for OBC students. 11% of seats are reserved combined for NT (B), NT (C), NT (D) and DT (A) categories. Yes, admissions are possible to the BTech course at DY Patil University, Navi Mumbai without the JEE Main rank through MHT CET. Securing good scores in the MHT CET is very important. Hence, the students must work hard and secure good marks for successful admission to the BTech course.

For the B.Com (Aided) programme, the third round cutoff percentage for admission to the Mulund College was 73.60 for the Open category. For B.Com (A & F) / BAF courses, the cutoff was 86.67 for Open, 76.83 for OBC and 72.67 for the SC category candidates.
