Good faculty, decent infrastructure, moderate placements with opportunities in both core and IT.
Placements: In mechanical engineering department, around 80%-90% of eligible students are placed during campus placement recruitment. Highest package offered is about 8 LPA - 9 LPA, while the average package ranges between 3.5 LPA - 4.5 LPA. Top companies are L&T, TVS, Mahindra, etc.
Infrastructure: Mechanical engineering department is equipped with well-maintained laboratories such as fluid mechanics, thermodynamics and CAD/CAM, manufacturing, and workshops that provide hands-on learning. Hostels are satisfactory with proper security, regular cleaning, and both single and shared room options are available. The mess food is better. For the recreation, students have access to support and games such as cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, and indoor games. Classrooms with digital board are available in our college.
Faculty: Teachers in mechanical engineering department are generally well qualified, knowledgeable, and approachable. They provide good guidance in both theory and practical sessions. The curriculum is fairly relevant. Covering core mechanical subjects along with interdisciplinary electives which help students build a strong foundation. The overpass percentage usually stays around 85%-90% showing a supportive evaluation system.

A review on my college of Vel Tech Dr. RR and Dr. SR University.
Placements: Many private companies have conducted interviews with the students in various sectors. Many students have got placed in various sectors. The mechanical engineering students are not placed much compared to other departments because of their insufficient knowledge in the engineering field.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very nice and good. The college provides quality education, more labs, smarts classes and library for different departments. Each student has computer login so that they can study in Google. The lab facility is superb, and students are doing well in it. The college is much strict in their discipline activities.
Faculty: Many faculty members are not much experienced, and one faculty is handling multiple subjects, and the curriculum is well designed to be perfect engineering. The first year maths is much difficult in the curriculum. Many students reappeared on it. The syllabus can't be completed within the given period. Many of the teachers will not complete the total syllabus because of insufficient time period.
Other: Other extracurricular activities are also given much importance.
