IIT Guwahati Cutoff 2024: Check Category-Wise JEE Advanced Cutoff Ranks

IIT Guwahati BTech admissions are based on candidates' performance in the JEE Advanced entrance exams, followed by JoSAA counselling rounds. The General AI quota candidates have the JEE Advanced last-round closing ranks ranging between 623 and 9178 for BTech admission. Among all the BTech specialisations, CSE was the most competitive, with a closing rank of 623 to get into IIT Guwahati. The first-round cutoff for the same stood at 607. IIT Guwahati Cutoff 2024 For General All India Category

For the General category students in the AI quota, the JEE Advanced first-round closing ranks varied between 607 and 8400. During the last round, the cutoff ranks ranged between 623 and 9178. Comparing the first round with the last round, the cutoff ranks saw a shift in its closing ranks for BTech admission in 2024. For CSE admission, the JEE Advanced first and last-round closing ranks stood at 607 and 623, respectively. For DS and AI the last-round cutoff was 995, while the first-round cutoff stood at 970 for the students belonging to the General AI quota. IIT Guwahati Cutoff 2024 For OBC All India Category

Among the OBC category students, the IIT Guwahati CSE cutoff 2024 was 330 in the first round, while in the last round, the closing rank stood at 364 for admission. CSE was the most in-demand BTech specialisation, followed by Data Science and Artificial Intelligence and Mathematics and Computing Engineering. The JEE Advanced last-round closing ranks for both these courses were 479 and 614, respectively. 

IIT Guwahati Cutoff 2024 For SC All India Category

BTech in CSE stands out as the most competitive BTech specialisation with first and last-round closing ranks of 179 and 181, respectively. The second most in-demand specialisation was Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, followed by Mathematics and Computing Engineering with JEE Advanced closing the ranks of 293 and 393, respectively, for the students belonging to the SC category in the AI quota. IIT Guwahati Cutoff 2024 For ST All India Category   

Compared to the above categories, the JEE Advanced cutoff ranks are more competitive for the ST category students for admission to the BTech courses. As per the data below, the most desirable BTech specialisation was CSE, with the first and last-round closing ranks of 100. With a cutoff rank of 160, BTech in DS and AI can also be considered for admission. IIT Guwahati Cutoff 2024 For EWS All India Category

For the EWS category students, the JEE Advanced last-round closing ranks ranged between 128 and 1522, of which Computer Science and Engineering was the most desirable course in the AI quota. Candidates who were not eligible for CSE admission can also consider Mathematics and Computing Engineering with a lenient last-round closing rank of 180. IIT Guwahati Cutoff 2024 For PWD All India Category

For the PWD category students, the JEE Advanced cutoff was released for CSE, ECE, Electronics and Electrical, and Mathematics and Computing Engineering courses. For admission to these BTech courses, the last-round closing ranks varied between 26 and 157, of which CSE stands out as the most preferred choice among Engineering aspirants for admission in 2024.
