DIT University Dehradun has released the placement report 2024 for School of Engineering & Technology and School of Computing. As per the SOET report, highest and median package offered was 7.25 LPA and 5 LPA. The placement rate recorded was 64.61%.

The university total fee is cumulative of multiple components such as tuition fee, hostel fee, caution deposit, etc. Candidates have to pay some amount of the total fee at the time of admission for seat confirmation. Moreover, some of the fee components are one-time chargeable, while some have to be paid annually/semesterly. DIT University BTech fee tuition fee ranges between INR 3.9 lakh and INR 9.4 lakh. DIT University BTech is a four-year course divided into eight semesters at the UG level. The UG-level course is offered across different specialisations. Some of the specialisations in which the course is offered are Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc. The university also offers lateral entry to BTech courses. The university admits candidates to the BTech courses based on JEE scores/merit in Class 12.

Admission to the BTech course is based on the JEE Main score or Class 12 marks. After completion of the selection rounds, the university releases a merit list to announce the names of the shortlisted candidates. The shortlisted aspirants are called for counselling and document verification. It also offers direct admission to the Class 12 toppers (10% seats). The university conducts other selection rounds like GDPI or PI rounds for some of the specific courses. However, for PhD who have a valid score GATE / SET / SLET will be selected based on PI. DIT is constantly working towards developing a great aura for students that is extremely calm to get rid of a hectic study schedule. The university organises various activities such as Nukkad Nataks, various exhibitions, quiz competitions, plays and several fashion shows. These are regularly organised by students in the Open Air Theatre of the university. 

The university may not offer direct admission as primarily the selection is merit-based. Thus, the aspirants Class 12 scores are considered.
