Overview

JIPMAT results 2026 are expected to be declared in the last week of June. National Testing Agency will release the JIPMAT scorecard download link on the exam website, exams.nta.nic.in/jipmat. Candidates have to use their application number and password to check JIPMAT results. IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya will accept JIPMAT scores for IPM admissions.

How is JIPMAT Score Calculated?

NTA has compiled the JIPMAT result based on the performance of the candidate to be evaluated using the final answer key. Owing to a single shift, there is no normalisation process for JIPMAT 2026. NTA will evaluate raw scores in JIPMAT 2026 based on the following marking scheme.

  • (+) 4 for every correct response
  • (-) 1 for every incorrect response
  • No negative marking for unattempted questions

JIPMAT Evaluation Criteria

NTA has prepared the result of the test taker based on the correct answers appearing in the JIPMAT final answer key. For all the correct responses marked by the candidate, NTA awards 4 marks. In case any question is dropped due to a technical error, all the candidates who have attempted the question shall be awarded marks for the same.

What after JIPMAT 2026 Results?

After the release of the JIPMAT result, NTA will send the scores of the candidates to IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu for further admission to the IPM programme. Both the institutes will prepare a separate merit list by providing a particular weightage to the following factors.

  1. JIPMAT score
  2. Class 10th performance
  3. Class 12th performance

NOTE: There is no personal interview for IPM admission at IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya

Q:   What is JIPMAT cutoff?
A: 
The term "JIPMAT cutoff" refers to the minimum score required to qualify for IPM admission at IIM Jammu or IIM Bodh Gaya. The JIPMAT exam is a highly competitive entrance exam conducted by the NTA for admission to IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya to fill nearly 120 seats. Around 7000 candidates fight for these seats. JIPMAT participating Iims release cutoff scores to shortlist candidates for IPM admission. JIPMAT cutoff scores for admission are based on multiple factors, including the highest exam score, the difficulty level of the exam, available seats, number of qualified candidates, etc. Candidates scoring above the cutoff are eligible for admission based on their JIPMAT performance.
Q:   How do I get admission to the IIM Jammu?
A: 

To get admission to IIM Jammu where studnets generally need to clear the Common Entrance Test (CAT) and then participate in institute selection process. It includes the Personal Interview and Written Ability Test. The specific CAT percentile required for shortlisting may vary each year and by category. IIM Jammu prepares a merit list based on your performance in CAT, PI, WAT, and your overall profile (academic record, work experience, and diversity). 

Q:   Can I request a re-evaluation of my JIPMAT exam results?
A: 
No, candidates cannot request for revaluation or rechecking of JIPMAT result. There is no provision for rechecking/re-evaluation/ re-totaling of the result/score and no query in this regard will be entertained. JIPMAT score is valid for one year only. Candidates who are not satisfied with their performance can re-appear for the JIPMAT exam in the subsequent admission cycle. Candidates who find an error in the provisional answer key can raise objections against the sane. However, NTA will not entertain any objections against the final answer key and the JIPMAT results.
Q:   Is there any negative marking in the JIPMAT exam?
A: 

Yes, JIPMAT exam has negative marking of 1 mark for incorrect answers marked by the candidate. Each correct response by the candidate fetches 4 marks.

Q:   Can I get a detailed analysis of my JIPMAT exam results, including section-wise scores?
A: 
Candidates will not find a detailed analysis of their performance with the release of JIPMAT results. However, NTA notifies the sectional scores in the JIPMAT scorecard. Candidates can find the overall score, as well as the section wise score in the JIPMAT scorecard. The scores in the JIPMAT exam is based on the marking scheme issued by NTA along with the exam details. Candidates are able to analyse their overall performance using the question paper, answer key and response sheet.

NTA releases JIPMAT results within 30 days of the exam date. Candidates are not allowed to apply for re-checking of JIPMAT exam.

A: 

JIPMAT answer key is released in two phases. Initially, NTA releases the provisional answer key. Later a final answer key is released. NTA releases JIPMAT final answer key and result on the same day.

Q:   What is the IPM selection criteria followed by IIM Jammu for admissions based on JIPMAT?
A: 

IIM Jammu has released the IPM admission policy for admissions based on JIPMAT scores. Candidates will be selected for IPM admission by 70 per cent allocation of JIPMAT scores, 15 per cent allocation to Class 10 scores, and the remaining 15 per cent allocation to Class 12 scores.

Q:   What is the format for the declaration of JIPMAT results?
A: 
National Testing Agency NTA releases the JIPMAT results on the official website. Candidates can check the JIPMAT scores using their registration number and date of birth on the login portal. No other mode is available for release of the JIPMAT scorecard. NTA does not entertain candidates requesting JIPMAT scorecard via email, fax, offline, or any mode other than online. The JIPMAT scorecard is downloadable via the login portal. The hard copy of JIPMAT scorecard is required at the time of IPM admission process by participating Iims. Candidates failing to carry the JIPMAT scorecard at the time of admission will face disqualification, irrespective of their score.
Q:   Can I reappear for JIPMAT if I am not satisfied with the result? Is there any provision for the same?
A: 
No. JIPMAT is held once a year. Therefore, candidates cannot reappear for the exam. NTA will not conduct the JIPMAT exam again for any candidate under any circumstances. The JIPMAT score is valid for one year only. Candidates who are not satisfied with their performance can reappear in the next admission cycle. Besides the re-appear requests, NTA does not entertain any requests for re-evaluation or re-totalling of the answer sheet. If the candidates do not wish to skip an additional year, they can go for other BBA entrance exams, such as NPAT, IPMAT LUACMAT Lucknow University UGPET SNUSAT among others.
