Class 12 Chemistry Syllabus, Chapters and Solutions: Chemistry is a branch of natural science that deals with the properties of substances, the changes they undergo, and the natural laws that describe these changes. Chemistry is considered one of the most important subjects in the class 12 science branch. Students preparing for JEE, NEET, or other entrance tests or those who want to pursue a career in Chemistry or its related field must perform better in the exam. For better preparation for the Class 12 Chemistry exam, the students must cover the entire Class 12 Chemistry Syllabus.

Knowing the Class 12 Chemistry Syllabus 2025-26 in advance helps the students know what topics should be covered and what not. It will also help students know the Class 12 Chemistry Weightage 2025 26. As of now, many boards including CBSE, ICSE, MPBSE, UPMSP, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, and more have released the Class 12 Chemistry Syllabus.

Q:   Where can I download the Maharashtra 12th syllabus 2026 for all subjects?
A:

Maharashtra 12th syllabus 2026 for all subjects can be downloaded by clicking here. The Board released the detailed syllabus for Maharashtra board 12th exams 2026 on the official website. The syllabus mentions the units, chapters and topics that are to be studied to score well in the exam.

Students are advised to finish the entire syllabus 2026 at least a month before the commencement of the exams. They must also know the exam pattern well to know the types of questions asked, the difficulty level of exam and more.

Q:   Is Bihar Board Class 12th syllabus tough?
A:

After analyzing the class 12 syllabus of CBSE and other board, it iseasy to say the BSEB 12th syllabus is similar to other state board syllabus. Also, it can be considered moderate in difficulty.Bihar Board Inter syllabus covers all the topics as prescribed by the national textbooks. If students follow a study schedule then all the topics included in it can be easily covered and the students can score desired marks in the BSEB 12th exams.

Q:   Is Maharashtra Board syllabus same as CBSE?
A:

No, CBSE syllabus and Maharashtra Board are not the same. There are certain key differences between these two boards which parents and students should consider before choosing which board they want to study in. Here are some of the main differences between Maharashtra and CBSE boards:

  1. CBSE is a central board that falls under the purview of the central government, while Maharashtra board falls under state government purview, which means that it is managed by the government of Maharashtra.
  2. The syllabus, curriculum, subjects and course material of both boards differ quite a bit. CBSE curriculum is formed by the NCERT while Maharashtra curriculum is formed by the State government department of education.
  3. Since CBSE is a national board, it gives priority to English as the medium of education and communication. However, since Maha board is a state managed board, it gives priority to regional languages like Marathi, Hindi, Kannada, etc. with English being taught as the first or second language, depending on the schools.
  4. Most CBSE schools are private and thus the overall cost of education in CBSE board is usually higher than state board. Since Maharashtra board schools are state-managed, it is widely available in most public schools, as well as private ones, and so it has lower fees.
  5. The CBSE board is uniform throughout the country, which means that children can transfer from one school to another in a different state, while still learning the same syllabi. On the other hand, since the Maharashtra board syllabi is state-specific, changing schools inter-state is not very feasible.
  6. Another point of difference between the two boards is the range of subjects offered. Again, since CBSE is a centralised board, it offers a limited variety of subjects,  especially in languages, arts and humanities. On the other hand, Maha board offers quite a range of subjects in all disciplines, including numerous languages.
  7. Since CBSE is also the board that controls a lot of national competitive exams, the board focuses a lot on preparing children for such exams. However, Maharashtra board focuses more on holistic academic knowledge,  without focusing on any particular competitive exams.
