Q:   What is the grading scheme of the Kerala Plus two exam?
A: 

To get A+ in the DHSE Kerala plus two exam, students should secure an aggregate percentage between 90 and 100. The grade position for those students is Outstanding. Percentage between 80-89 is considered as A grade. B+ grade is awarded to those scoring between 70-79 percentage. 60-69 percentage is considered as B grade. 50-59 percentage is considered as C+ grade. 40-49 percentage is considered as C grade. 30-39 percentage is considered as D+ grade. 20-29 percentage is considered as D grade. Less than 20 percent is given E grade.

Q:   What are the different streams offered by Kerala DHSE?

There are four streams of subjects in Kerala DHSE Board. They are Science, Commerce, Humanities and Technical. Subjects in Kerala Plus Two Science stream include Physics, Maths, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Home Science, Electronics, Statistics and Psychology. Kerala Plus Two Commerce subjects include Business Studies, Accountancy, Economics, Maths Statistics Politics, and Computer Application. Kerala Plus Two Humanities subjects in Kerala include Economics, Politics, History, Geography, Sociology, Geology, etc. 

Q:   Is there any grace marks in Kerala DHSE exams?
A: 

Yes, Grace marks are given for the plus two students. Kerala Government restored the grace marks awarded to school students for their excellence in extracurricular activities. In 2023, the Kerala Principal Secretary had issued a new order stating that grace marks being awarded to the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) and higher-secondary Plus-Two students in Kerala who excel in extracurricular activities will be limited to a single event in which they scored the maximum marks, and it doesn’t matter whether they participated and became eligible in multiple co-curricular items. The Board was not awarding Sports Grace marks during the last two years (2020 to 2022) as the normal academic schedule was impacted by the lockdowns during the COVID-19 pandemic.  Board will also consider the achievements of state-level winners in school fests while studying in Class 8 or 9 awarding Sports Grace mark for Kerala SSLC Result 2023 and Sports Grace mark for Kerala Plus Two Result 2023. However, the condition is that the student during his Class 10 study should obtain an A grade in the same event at the Revenue district level.

The Kerala Class 12 sample papers were released on the official website- questionpool.scert.kerala.gov.in. Students can click on Kerala 12th sample question papers to download them. To get them offline, they can take a printout of the question papers and start solving them for better preparation of the exams.

Q:   What is the duration of the Kerala 12th exam?

The duration of each paper of the Kerala 12th exam is 2.5 hours. The timing of the exam is given in the Kerala Plus two time table. Timing of the subjects without practical will be from 9.30 AM to 12.15 PM including cool off time of 15 minutes. Subjects with practical except Biology and Music will be held from 9.30 AM to 11.45 AM including cool off time of 15 minutes. Biology will be held from 9.30 A. M to 11.55 A. M including cool off time (25 minutes I. e. , 15 minutes for Botany & Zoology and 10 minutes preparatory time for Zoology). The timing of Music will be 9.30 AM to 11.15 AM including cool off time (15 minutes).

Q:   When a student drops one year, what is the syllabus applicable for the following Class 12 board exam of next year?

Students have to follow the Class 12 syllabus applicable for the year for which they are appearing the Class 12 board exam. They can check the Class 12th syllabus on the official website of the board. They can also take help from their teachers for the Class 12th  syllabus.

Q:   What if I am unable to clear the Kerala 12th Supplementary exam as well?

If students fail Kerala 12th SAY exam, they have to repeat year and write plus two exam next year. They have to work hard and prepare well for exam. They can go to any tuition centres for Kerala 12th SAY exam preparation. They should make a proper time table and learn well.
