IIT Kanpur MTech Admission 2024: Eligibility, Fee and Selection
Offered across 15 specialisations, admission to IIT Kanpur is subject to a valid score obtained by the students in the GATE exam. Check out the eligibility and selection criteria for this below:

- Selection: A valid GATE score is required for admission to the MTech programme in the case of regular (non-sponsored) candidates. The requirement of GATE score is waived off for the candidates with a BTech/BS (4-year) degree from IITs with a minimum overall CPI of 6.5 and a minimum CPI of 8.0 in the last two years in BTech/BS (4-year).
- Admission Process: Admission offers for GATE-qualified candidates are displayed on the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP). Students must register at the COAP portal to view and accept their offers. Registration on the COAP portal is free.
