A few more updates are given below:
- The JEE Main 2026 registration process for IIT Kanpur admission to BTech, BArch, and BPlan courses is expected to start from Oct 2025 onwards. For session 1, the JEE Main 2026 exam will tentatively be conducted between Jan 21 and Jan 30, 2026.
- The IIT JAM 2026 exam date for the MSc course is Feb 15, 2026.
- The CEED Registration 2026 is open for IIT Kanpur admission to the M.Des course. Without late fee, the end date to register is Oct 31, 2025. In addition, the CEED 2026 exam is scheduled for Jan 18, 2026.

The total tuition fee for M.Tech courses at IIT Kanpur ranges between INR 20,000 to INR 77,000. This fee, however, is sourced from unofficial sources. Hence, is indicative. NTA announced JEE Main 2024 dates. NTA coducted the JEE Main 2024 exam in two sessions. To get a seat in IIT Kanpur for BTech/BSc/BS admission, candidates must qualify JEE Advanced. The IIT Kanpur JEE Advanced Cutoff 2024 was released branch-wise and category-wise. Among the General AI category candidates, the Cutoff ranks for different courses closed at a range of 252 and 10058. The most competitive course among the General AI quota candidates was BTech in CSE. Among the OBC AI category candidates, the cutoff ranks closed at a range of 132 and 4766.

IIT Kanpur accepts JEE Advanced and JEE Main scores for admission to BTech. Admission to all the courses is based on scores obtained in the entrance examinations such as GATE, JEE3 JAM, CEED and CAT. Along with UG and PG courses, IIT Kanpur also offers PhD in various specialisations. Selection for the same is done based on GATE scores followed by a Written Test/ Personal Interview conducted by the institute.
