Yes, IIT Kharagpur does accept GATE scores for admission to its M.Tech programme. Applicants must have a valid GATE score relevant to the discipline of their qualifying degree. In cases where there is no specific GATE paper available for a particular discipline, XE/XL/XH papers of the GATE examination can be considered. GATE is the accepted entrance exam for admission to IIT Kharagpur's M.Tech programme.
The selection of candidates for admission to the MBA programme at VGSoM (IIT Kharagpur) is a two-step procedure. For the unreserved categories, it is 75% minimum marks for admission to the IITs, IIITs, NITs and GFTIs. Students should only apply for the JoSAA counselling process if they fulfil the eligibility criteria.

For admission to MBA at VGSOM (IIT Kharagpur), candidates need to qualify CAT followed by WAT and personal interview round. The minimum CAT percentile required is 90 for general category students. For NC-OBC and SC/ ST/ PwD the minimum CAT percentile required is 80 and 75 respectively.

Selection of candidates for admission to MBA at VGSoM, IIT Kharagpur is a two-step process. The cut off rank in Round 6 for BTech (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering is 3294 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one can not afford to score less than this.
