NIT Kurukshetra NIT Kurukshetra Admission 2025: Cutoff, Fees, Eligibility & Application

NIT Kurukshetra BTech admission is based on the entrance exam. Candidates who want admission must first meet the basic criteria for eligibility and then take the entrance exam. NIT Kurukshetra BTech admissions are based on JEE Main scores, followed by JoSAA counselling. Candidates must secure a 90% or above percentile to get admission to BTech courses offered by NIT Kurukshetra. The basic eligibility criteria to get admission to NIT Kurukshetra is to pass Class 12 with a 75% aggregate in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry or Biology or Biotechnology or Technical Vocational Subject.

National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra accepts the JEE Main entrance exam for admitting students to its BTech course. The NIT Kurukshetra cutoff 2025 has been released for Round 1, wherein the closing ranks varied between 281 and 46438 for female candidates. For NIT Kurukshetra, the cutoff ranks were released under both AI and HS quotas. For the Home State quota, the closing ranks were between 1201 and 52806 for female category candidates. As per NTA - The governing authority for DASA UG admissions - announced JEE Main 2025 ranks will be the basis for admission. In contrast to Indian candidates who must register for JoSAA counselling 2025, all foreign citizens must apply for JEE Main 2025 and, upon the announcement of the JEE Main ranks, must register for DASA counselling in order to be considered for admission.

Let's see who can apply for DASA UG admission:

Foreign nationals studying in any country, including India, as well as Indian nationals studying abroad who meet the specified admission criteria, are eligible to apply for the DASA UG program.

For Indian nationals, the criteria are:

1. Completion of at least two years of education, including 11th and 12th grades or equivalent, in a foreign country within the last 8 years.
2. Successful completion of the qualifying examination from abroad.

Eligible candidates must also have a JEE Main rank and should have completed Mathematics, Physics, and one additional subject from Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, or Biology in their 12th grade. Additionally, they must have secured at least 75% marks (or a CGPA of 7.5 out of 10) in aggregate, as per their respective boards.

Admission to the BTech CSE course at NIT Kurukshetra is done through JEE Main, which is conducted by NTA every year in two sessions. Aspiring students need to qualify for the exam with a valid score and appear for the JoSAA Counselling. For the selection of candidates for vacant seats, the college also accepts admission through CSAB Counselling. After Round 3 was posted on DASA's official website, the NIT Kurukshetra counselling procedure 2022 came to an end. It is mandatory for candidates to complete an online application form on the DASA online admission portal for the forthcoming NIT Kurukshetra admission session 2025. Candidates can apply for the DASA UG counselling process by doing the following step:

Candidates who meet the requirements for DASA counselling must register in order to take part in the admissions process. Below is a description of the DASA counselling registration procedure:

• The candidate's date of birth and JEE Main 2025 application number must be entered in order to register. On the email address linked to JEE Main, a web link will be mailed to finish the registration procedure. JEE application number will be the user name of the candidates.
• In the registration form, candidates have to fill in the required details. Applicants are required to upload the following:

1. the latest passport size photograph in JPG format (size ~ 3.5cmx3.5cm, file size < 100kB).
2. Scanned signature of applicant in JPG format (file size<100 kB). 

• Submit the completed DASA application form. The submitted online registration form should be downloaded and saved for their records. However, there is no need to send the hard copy of the form and documents to the DASA office.

Aspirants wanting to take admission to the MTech course shall check the eligibility requirement. Eligible students further must take the GATE exam. Aspirants can apply for GATE online. Candidates who secure scores greater than or equal to the cutoff marks further need to take part in the CCMT counselling process for seat allotment process. There are 1242 seats available for BTech at NIT Kurukshetra. Students have to satisfy the eligibility criteria. Additionally, the selection process involves the valid scores of JEE Main. 

Currently, NIT Kurukshetra has not released the dates for the commencement of classes for the academic batch 2025. It is anticipated that the dates will fall in the same bracket similar to the previous one. The date of commencement of classes for the 2024 batch was August 12, 2024.

NIT Kurukshetra cutoff 2024 has been released across various specialisations in opening and closing ranks. NIT Kurukshetra MCA cutoff 2024 ranged between, 297 and 367 for the General AI category candidates, wherein Master of Computer Applications (MCA) is the toughest course to get into NIT Kurukshetra. The Last Round cutoff for MCA is 297 and MCA (Self-financing) is 367 for the General AI category. For OBC Category, the Last Round for MCA and MCA (Self-financing) concluded at 349 and 535.  Candidates can refer to the table below for category-wise Last Round cutoff 2024:

The NIT Kurukshetra CCMN cutoff 2025 is finally out for round 1. The cutoff has been released for admission to the M.Sc. specialisations, for different categories belonging to the All India quota. For the General AI category candidates, the highest and the lowest cutoffs were 1625 and 278, respectively. The most competitive cutoff was for admission to the M.Sc. in Economics.
