NITK Surathkal admits students through CCMT for all the M.Tech programmes. Programme is open to candidates who have passed the prescribed qualifying examination, with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 6.5 in the 0-10 scale grading system, or not less than 60% marks in the aggregate

Candidates seeking admission shall apply for GATE through the COAPS portal and take the entrance exam. Candidates with a Bachelor’s or an equivalent degree in an appropriate branch of Engineering of a minimum four-year duration with 60% aggregate (55% for SC/ST/PwD) can apply.
